For a variety of reasons, there may be more violations of certain of these rules than others. The third commandment, "Thou shalt not access other people's computer files," is, in my opinion, the one that is most frequently broken. People occasionally violate the privacy of others, whether they realize it or not. Additionally, I believe that commandment number six—which states, "Thou shall not copy or use proprietary software for which you have not paid"—is frequently broken by students who are unaware that they are doing so too. Finally, social media violates the tenth commandment, which states, "Thou shalt always use a computer in ways that ensure consideration and respect for your fellow human." Individuals will use the internet to degrade and spread rumors about the lives of others; this is bullying and does not guarantee respect for other people.

Intentions to take advantage of the system, ignorance, or recklessness can all lead to violations. Students could occasionally fail to understand the repercussions of their behavior. It can be that they are more concerned with obtaining something personal than understanding the moral implications.

I believe that increasing awareness and education is crucial to reducing or completely eliminating such immoral behavior. The significance of ethical computing and its effects on people and society should be emphasized by educators. It is important that everyone is aware of the rules and consequences for acting unethically. Accountability in the classroom and in the workplace can influence moral behavior from the beginning.
