Hobbes father was a quick tempered vicar for a small church. He abandoned his 3 children to take care of his brother. At 4 Hobbes was sent to school in West-port, A private school and at 15 he went to the University of Oxford. <br>He worked for wealthy and Cavendish Families. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1640 with England on the branch of Civil war, the royalist fled to Paris fearing the reaction to long Parliament of his writing. HE remanded in exile for 11 years. Between 1646 and 1648 Hobbes was a Math teacher tutor to Prince of Wales (Future Charles II) who was also in exile. For Hobbes the only way for a man to life himself out of his state of fear was to give up his freedom, and make a social contract. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hobbes felt that monarchy provided the best authority. He also claimed that sovereign power was absolute, the sovereign must also be head of the national religion. He was resulting to be hostile to the Roman Catholic Church. This made him unpopular with the french authorities, and inn 1651 he returned to England.</div>]]></description>
