It is told in a way that you can picture it well in your mind and makes it seem like you where next to Mr. Kohut. I have been confirmed and my story is during confirmation. While I was confirmed I felt that I was part of a family and that I was very pure. While I have heard some interesting Confirmation stories, this one definitely stands out. I remember my Confirmation quite well. I received it a year earlier than I thought I was going to because I moved here in 8th grade. In Missouri, most kids get Confirmation in 9th grade. I distinctly remember receiving the sacrament with my grade and the sunlight was filtering through the stained glass. It cast multi-colored light across all of us, and it was very pretty. My older sister was my confirmation sponsor, and I was really excited about the saint I chose. I selected St. Benedict, and I found out about him by chance. I had found one of the Benedictine medals in the classroom and was intrigued. I'm glad that Mr. Kohut was able to get confirmed and involve his students. My sponsor for confirmation was my cousin, who I am very close with. It was special because my entire family was there and I wore a dress that my grandma had bought for me. My gift of the Holy Spirit was knowledge, and I will always be grateful for receiving that gift. My dad also didn't get his confirmation until way later. He was one of 6 at St. Michaels in Worthington and was just kind of skipped over. My confirmation was very cool. I enjoyed all of the preparation and growing closer to my sponsor, my aunt.
