         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Running Records allow for progress tracking<br>- Should be a cold read<br>- Purposes include evaluation of text difficulty, acceleration of a child, monitoring of progress, and observation of difficulties.<br>- Administered by teacher every 6 to 8 weeks<br>- Analyzing and scoring a running record includes error rate (ratio), accuracy rate (percentage), and self-correction rate (ratio).<br>- Independent Level: 95-100% accuracy rate, Instructional Level: 90-94% accuracy rate, Frustration Level: 89% and below accuracy rate.<br>- Running Record <strong>errors</strong> include: substitutions, omissions, insertions, interventions/word told, attempt <br>- Running Record <strong>no errors</strong> include: accurate, repetition of word + phrase, self-correction, beginning sound, successfully decoded.</div>]]></description>
