rising action: The scorpion stings coyotito so kino and juana take him to the doctor and the doctor refuses to help him. So Kino goes looking for pearl to get money and finds the great pearl. which he then take to the pearl buyers and they refuses to give a acceptable price. So he heads to the capital. So the buyers send someone to get steal the pearl and Kino kills the man.
Climax: So now kino is being looked for which making him go into hiding but start the trip to the capital and in the way kino spots trackers after them to kill there family.
falling action: The baby gets shot by one of the trackers before kino finishes them off but Kino realizes what happen to late. so they forget about going to the capital and go back home.
resolution: They walk back side to side and get rid of the pearl by throwing it in the ocean.
