You can put as many life events as you want.

Please add color and creative aspects.

Think of a moment in your life when everything changed. This could be a big event or a small, seemingly insignificant moment that, upon reflection, has had a lasting impact on you. Describe this moment in detail, focusing on your thoughts and feelings at the time. How did this event change your perspective or the course of your life? Reflect on the significance of this change and what you learned about yourself through this experience. Please write a 500-word personal narrative. Due Friday.

Writing Day

Students will use this class period to work on their personal narratives. At this point students should have the narrative outlined out and should be ready to start. I will walk around and monitor students progress. A few discussions will be allowed but students must keep the talking to a minimum and work on their narrative.

DAY 5: Friday

When the students walk in the desks will be arranged in a C shape with a chair in the middle. All students will be welcome to come up and present their personal narratives. The student can just summarize it or read it aloud. Students will also have the option to have me read their narrative to the class anonymously. I will hand out pieces of paper and students can write if they want to present themselves, want me to read it aloud, or if they do not want to present at all.

Students will shown this video to analyze how artists construct their lyrics, students can learn different storytelling techniques and structures, which they can then apply to their own narrative writing.
