Subject: The guarantee policy of a product

Subject: The negotiating style

Dear Ms. Thu Hien,

I am writing to you about negotiation style in every subject. In negotiation, there are 3 main negotiating styles such as hard, soft and principled. In my opinion, the principle is a concept that is the most suitable and effective way for the parties when they are making a deal.

As I know, the common objective of principled negotiation style is to reach a win- win solution. Besides, the bargaining position of the party is that neither party negotiates from “position of power”. 

The biggest advantage of the negotiator is reaching a  favorable outcome for both parties while maintaining good relationships. However, principled negotiation is not right for all situations. In a compromise situation, both parties make some sacrifices to find an agreeable outcome. To win- win, both parties achieve their desired outcomes, but neither sacrifices to do so. 

Finally, the tendency of the negotiators has identified a common interest, found a creative solution and discussed a fair criterion.

Subject: Share experiences in my lastest job interview

Dear Hien,

I am writing this email to tell you about a recent position interview I attended. I worked part-time as an intern at an Logistics company when I was in my third year of college. I had a great interview to get this position, and it gave me a lot of useful experience.

Director was the one who personally interviewed me. At first, I was worried because she looked really professional and serious. I was questioned about my background, education, experience, skills, and future ambitions. Despite my nervousness at first, I believe I made a good impression on the interviewer due to my formal and polite attitude as well as my short, simple, and relevant answers to my job.

Especially, on the job experience question, I think I did really well. Instead of answering that question, I talked about what I learnt and what I did as an unskilled student, but the skills I have and what I say are all with relation to the position I'd like to apply for. However, until now, I still believe that if I can deal with salary issues more wisely, my interview will be much better.

If this happens again, I will try to negotiate rather than respond directly in order to achieve further reasonable terms. I learnt during the interview that in every situation, I need to remain confident and calm. To avoid speaking about other topics, I should directly respond to the question posed by the interviewer.
