My Introduction (Read this Paragraph Before the Others)

Well, seems like you got my Padlet address... By the way, good to see you here my friend!
I guess you did see the title for this block you know what's going on, right? First, let's start off with my name. My name is Chee Yee Heng (徐毅恒) and people call me Chee as it is my first name. My secondary names are Clement and Ivan and it has been a long time I was not called that. I am 15 and I am kind of like the guys you may call an Otaku (try to search for the meaning if you don't understand). My birthday is on the 16th July 2004 and I came from Negeri Sembilan but I currently live in Penang.
I am the kind of shut-in (if I can) because I don't really like hanging out with people and I hate huge crowds. One of the lecturers told me: "You can't avoid meeting people, until the day you die." I wanted to tell him that: "I can live by myself, survive by myself, in my own way, with my very own destiny. I can face whatever challenges, but not troubles caused by the selfishness and the stupidity of humans." This really makes me doubt the meaning of humanity. When it comes to celebrations, festivals and even birthdays, I usually don't really care about it. That's the person I'm like.
I like robotics and programming AI's. I'm not sure that if I became a programmer because of my personality or programming shapes my personality, but either way, I'm fine with it, having friends is cool but I don't need a ton of them. My hobby is of course designing structures and programming. I use solid edge for designing and visual studio and Arduino IDE for programming. I can do these things for the whole day! Now you know how much I love doing these stuff.
Of course, although I like to be alone, I still like to have some noises around me, and what are those noises? MUSIC! I am crazy about Vocaloid songs and anime songs. Those songs are Japanese-related stuff, but who cares? They are awesome! And my favourite artist, Hatsune Miku! The first voice of the future! Although everything about her is computer-made, she is still the best singer of Vocaloid for me. Next Japanese-related stuff, what could it be? ANIME! I could not live my life without anime. I started watching anime since I was 8 and I still do. I spent around 15 hours a week to watch anime (except during exam week) and that does not affect my life at all. I learnt many stuff from anime, a little Japanese, and tons of ideas to write in my essays. Anime is totally something that saves me from depression. I laughed, cried, smirked, shocked and scared by anime, those are really the best moments for an Otaku.
For your information, I am a non-expressive person, and that's why when we have to make a Padlet for English Literature, I feel that I should make this a chance for me to express my thoughts and ideas through words, unfetteredly...
And... I guess that's all you need to know from me, I hope you won't critic about my Padlet, as these are my thoughts, and no opinions should be wrong...
Thank you for your time here, I appreciate that, really...

This really relieves my stress a lot when I had assignments to rush or exams around the corner. To be honest, I can't make it through the exams without this game. By the way, here's a link of a video about the game, check it out if you want to! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrZODfQfotY

OK? Let us start then... The reflection will be in a form of my thoughts, combined with videos, pictures and gifs with paragraphs to explain them in a more formal way

Reaction Paper 1 (Poetic Devices)

"Poetic devices", something that most of us do not really get the hold of it, it is something mysterious yet unintelligible. For me, poetic devices are something very holy, they are the magical tools for poets to make such incredible poems. The artistic value of these poetic devices are undeniable.
In this note, the definition and explanation were given clearly. However, I hoped that more examples and more thorough explanation could be given as some of them were not easily understood by us. The explanations given are not really giving out an exact meaning of it, hence, students like us may misunderstood them and use them incorrectly.
Furthermore, I hope the lecturer can explain them even clearer during the class instead of just asking us to read the notes and digest it by ourselves. I feel that with his explanation, students may have a better idea about the context. Questions can also be asked directly to the lecturer to avoid misunderstanding.
Although these notes about poetic devices have some incompleteness, I still feel that they are some good notes. First of all, the notes use reader-friendly font and text structure. Students will easily read through them although there all tightly packed together. Next, the notes are packed with detail information. The author uses the simplest method he could to break down the meaning. However, he should reconsider his use of words to explain the devices. It might seem simple to him, however, we as students had a hard time understanding it.
As a conclusion, I hope these notes can remain their standard of being detailed and try to improve the diction part so that the notes can be more easily understood by students.

Reaction Paper 2 (The Yellow Wallpaper)

The Yellow Wallpaper, what do you think? On the first glance on the title, I can already feel the creepiness of the story. The word "Yellow" gives me an old yet scary feeling and the word "Wallpaper" even brings out that creepy atmosphere. It was a great feeling for me as I always enjoyed this kind of horror story.
While reading this story I was definitely confused. I do not understand a single thing about what's going on. The use of words and settings give me no clue at all. I became more and more impatient. I soon to realised that this is the kind of story that requires the reader to finish everything to understand the story. At first I understood that the protagonist was ill and her husband was taking care of her. She was then sent to an old nursery or I should say this prison, I am not sure if her benefits mean helping her "become better" or for her husband's benefit. It was said to cure her but it sounds a bit wrong when I really understand the story. The husband just wants to control his wife! That's really wrong!
As I went across the story, I soon realised the bad part of the husband and recognised him as the antagonist. His attitude and doings somehow pisses me off. When the main character finally spoke up for herself, I felt so relieved for her and was hoping that there will finally be a twist in the story. What disappointed me was the plot set up by the husband, that stinky attitude of his really makes me mad.
But as I kept reading she was eventually shot down and just like the beginning her opinion didn’t matter. She felt herself trap in the yellow wallpaper surrounding her, like a prison, and this ends the story.
As a conclusion, this is not a bad story. The title gives out the cold and scary feelings to the readers, the plot gives the reader hope, excitement and of course, disappointment and that's what makes a good story. The thing that makes me love this story is the harsh reality the story shows out to us, it is definitely a great material for reading.

Reaction Paper 3 (Hills like White Elephant

Hills like White Elephants, what do you think? At first glance, I do not have any clue on what's the story about, I thought it will be a boring story talking about beautiful sceneries and stuff about the society or countryside. I thought it was a boring story but I guess I could not just judge a book by its cover and decided to read it.
When I read the first paragraph, I thought I got my guess correct and felt a bit down as I continued reading. Soon, I can already see the title's name in the context of the story, "hills" and "white elephants" and I tried to guess the reason why is this story titled as this. As I keep reading, I thought it was just a side-scene involving the chatting of a man and a women. I began to focus onto their chat to try to figure out if there is anything wrong or a hidden meaning behind it.
I soon realised the relationship between them and began to figure out their settings and their characteristics. I began to show a liking for this story. The whole story is so mysterious! Suddenly, everything that I read gets darker and darker as I kept on reading. I realised that something was wrong between those two and it definitely is something about their marriage. I found out that this is a typical scenario where in couples, who had jumbled the aforementioned stages of relationship, are incarcerated, and all of this were set up by the author. The American and “Jig” surely had fallen in love in the first place but they had done something that is not yet right for them to do.
Everything began to seem serious, the story is becoming more and more interesting and I was actually excited to finish the story.
Lastly, the story implicitly talks about the splitting of the couple and the abortion of the baby. This issue seems to be rampant nowadays since youth become more engaged to illicit acts. Aside from emotional distress, these acts in turn give consequences that prove to be on the list of heaviest problems of the society, like abortions, unwanted pregnancies and even diseases. At this point, I felt sorry for what happened to the woman. I found this quite similar to our society in this century. And up to here, the story ends.
As a conclusion, it is not a bad story. However, I hope the author can use a more interesting way to "invite" the readers to explore about her story. The plot is surely very interesting and I totally fell in love with it. I would personally recommend this story to anyone as it contains a great wisdom that will benefit anyone.
