This is a very cheap method of "donating" and getting rid of electronic waste products. People would not like to sell them on programs such as eBay because many people would not buy them because they are broken or damaged. This results in the electronic waste to be brought to struggling countries. This is a horrible solution because many device donated there are unusable so they are thwon in waste. This causes the people living in these struggling countries to be exposed to toxic waste. They sometimes sell them as second hand products to people their, but if the devices are unusable they get workers to take them abart and get the materials.
