What’s a typical week for you? What’s a typical day? What do you have to do next? What haven’t you done? Is there too much to do and too much to think about? Are you trying to do several things at once?

You’ve got too many commitments!

For so many of us, it’s not that there’s not enough time in the day, it’s more that we’re trying to do too much in the time we’ve got.

Too often, we commit to too many people and too many things, and then find ourselves without enough time to fully enjoy or complete those commitments.

What’s the difference between commitments and obligations? A commitment is something you agree to do or choose to engage in. An obligation arises out of you choosing to commit to something. An obligation is something that you’re obliged to do; you feel you have to out of a sense of duty because you said you would.

If you choose to commit to something, you accept the obligations. If, for example, you commit to a book club, you accept the obligation to read the chosen book each month and turn up for the meetings. If you lose interest and you no longer feel committed to the book club, those obligations become a burden.

Too many commitments create pressure and stress and can get in the way of you doing the things you most want to do and living the life you want to live.
by Lea

About Star Chasing

I personally isn’t a fan of chasing stars, but I do have some opinions about this topic. I think it’s perfectly okay to love someone because they have something you desire to have. For me, I would prefer to chase stars that are good at what they’re performing. In other words, it means that they have a talent in what they do. I don’t actually care if they have a beautiful face that makes everyone go wild, however, for example in singing, if they can express themselves and influence fans to love singing, learn what singing’s purpose is, I would be grateful. A star is a leader, a person who’s standing above, and they should lead other people to the true core of their field. But I’m not saying that you shouldn’t like stars with a lovely face, but instead of ONLY a face, they should be able to express their love in their field and truly influence their fans into their passion and hard work.
By Nina Xu from WHIS

School in Wenlai is perfectly fun and busy for me. Even though we do have homework, we still hang around with friends and build friendships between teachers. For example, in academics, we have a math challenge outside of our classroom everyday, and classmates really enjoy solving problems together. While in playing, the boys have a kind of social clapping game that they play almost all the time. And during our classes, the teachers are extra nice to us and focus on what we should improve. At noon, we also have lunch together in the cafeteria and share interesting topics. The old school life never gets old！
By Nina Xu from WHIS

If you are under too much stress, you may find yourself not easy to focus on making things done and easy to feel fatigue, maybe you can not make your commitment.
