Parents and caregivers can explain to the child how they are creating spheres which is shaped just like a ball. Making the meatballs will also help to develop fine motor skills for children. At this point children and parents can discuss the texture and appearance of the meat before and after it is cooked. They can also discuss the size of the meatballs (big and small) the child is making. When all of the meatballs are shaped parents and the child can count the final amount, this will include math skills.
