Some of these tools were candle sniffers you were supposed to blow out the candle and leave the snuffer on so it wouldn’t reignite. It took 5 people at least to work a canon. There were also many interesting rules to use the canon for example the person pushing the ball back into the canon should only use the stick with one arm so that way they will only use one arm compared to both. Being a soldier was a very dangerous job because of the aparant dangers of canons and guns but also just being a patient of a doctor left you with a 50 50 chance of living.
