Five key expectations that stood out to me are attendance, no procrastination, turning in work on time, revisions, and no plagiarism. These expectations are important because they help you stay organized and up to date with any class or homework. These expectations will help me by allowing me to maintain a good grade.

During the presentations, I liked when my classmates shared more about where they're from and what they like to do in their free time. This intrigued me the most because I got to learn more about who they are and what they're like. For example, some people shared what countries they're from and they talked about how they like playing sports, playing video games, listening to music, etc. I found the presentations interesting because they definitely helped me get to know my classmates better and I saw some presentations that included some things I liked or related to.

9/13 comparing sonnets and poems

In my home group, we read a sonnet that was basically a love letter written to express someone’s love for someone else. Most poems I’ve read have to do with love and expressing emotions. Sonnets are similar to other forms of poetry because they both use figurative language to get a point across. I noticed that the sonnet we read had a lot of metaphors, alliteration, personification, etc. which are different types of figurative language that are also frequently used in poems. Sonnets are different from poetry because sonnets have fourteen lines and they use a number of rhyme schemes while poems are writings that emphasize feelings and ideas by using things like rhyme, rhythm, and imagery. Sonnets have structure while poems don’t. Poems can be written in different metrical patterns but sonnets are written in iambic pentameter. All sonnets are poems but not all poems are sonnets.

10/11 logical fallacies in public/media

One logical fallacy I've encountered the most in public is the begging the question fallacy. A lot of ads use this fallacy to sell a product or service. Most of the time they only show and use positive reviews/opinions to promote themselves and sell it as the complete truth. Another logical fallacy I've encountered the most in public is the slippery slope fallacy. A lot candidates for presidential elections use the slippery slope fallacy in their ads to tear down their opponents.
