She was a suffragist and fought for women to have the right to vote in the 1920's. She was a real radical! She suffered from physical torture from police officers and was sent to prison several times for protesting. One time she was even sent to an asylum and was force fed since she was a hunger striker. The history books don't mention her and it's baffling to me!!!!

The fact that the gender wage gap is non-existent(new studies that take into account individual choices and the gap within industries show that the only noticeable gap is in business management by 2.3 percent, while the 77 cents figure only takes the median of all industries. Woman couldn't vote until 1920 because back then they were considered property of the Husband. Voting is important because it gives us a say on who we want to run our country instead of just a king passing his throne to his son. When you don't let a group of people vote, they start to feel discriminated. How does she inspire you? 

A: My mom has been a very inspirational person in my life. Even though we may not see eye to eye on everything, she has still impacted me a lot. I could always come to her for situations or advice and she always had something to say. I could always count on her when I needed helped, and she would always pick me up when I fell down. She reminds me that family always comes first and will always be there for you. She is one of the reasons why I am where I’m at, and going down the right path.

Q #3: Why do we need a special month to honor women?

A: We don’t. The fact we have a “special” month for women will divide us even more. Have men not done anything “special” to earn a month to celebrate us? Have we not done enough for our great God given continent that we call America to help make it what it is today? Have we not put any effort in making a difference in this world? The more we add to this list of women, black, etc. history month the more our people will be separated. Why not celebrate about something we all are?.... Americans. We all made differences together as one big happy and proud group of Americans. Our men and women have so much to SHAPE THE WORLD AS AMERICANS. 

Q #13: When do you think America will have its first female president? 

A: When we have a female qualified for the role of the president. So far we haven’t had any women up for the task or fit for the job. I do not feel that the role of the president is sexist in any type of way. I believe our people vote for the particular person that we see fit to hold that high position of authority. Hopefully one day in the future we will have a respectable woman in office.
