This song reminds me of this book because everything bad happens in one day. For example, Miranda's and her family's apartment keys are lost, and then later that day Miranda got a note from an unknown person. The phrase when it rains, it pours means that everything bad happens all at the same time.

A memorable moment that happened in this book was how close Miranda and Sal were, but then stopped being friends because Miranda didn't do anything when Sal was getting beat up. Miranda went to Sal to tell him that she was sorry and he accepted her apology. They are friends once again! The fight takes place in chapter 7 and the apology is at the end of the book.
