For 2023-2024 we can continue to use professionalism and strong communication within our work relationships. Having an open door policy with our principal helps staff to feel supported. Staff within the Dyer building seem to genuinely care about each other and their well-being beyond the workplace. We are great at being both flexible with and supportive of each other to create an environment that breeds success for not only ourselves but also our students. Everyone within our building is very welcoming to all new people including but not limited to new staff, substitutes, new students, and guests that come to visit.

Communication & Collaboration are super important. We are accepting of individual differences. Introduction of staff mtg. recognition awards. Staff Dyer paws. Staff shoutouts.

We appreciate that Derek checks up on us when we are sick, have a family issue, etc. Also the check-ins to make sure staff are good when student issues arise. Admin is following up with student concerns in a timely matter. Derek is timely with returning emails. We feel like we, as a staff, are taken care of which in turn allows us to care for our students. Derek kept all staff infomred with the same information via the open door meetings about situations within our community.

Staff recognitions need to be equitable. They tend to always be awarded to those who have free/flexible time to assist in other areas of the building. Those of us with jam packed schedules don't have the chance to help and thus are rarely recognized.
