His parents decided that it was time for him to go to a real school, so they enrolled him in Beecher Prep. He goes on a tour with Jack Will and Julian, who is very rude to him. His first few months were  a little hard. People stared and he didn't have many friends. Then, Jack Will sits at lunch with him and his life turns around. He faces bullies and becomes more confident enough to stand up to them. He overcomes them by staying true to who he is and making new friends along the way.

Jack Will- He is one of Auggie's first friends at Beecher Prep.He doesn't care about what others think and he even stands up to one of his best friends, Julian,  for making fun of Auggie. 

Julian- He shows Auggie around the school and is pretty rude to him at first and convinces others to be to. Preferably kids who go to a elementary school and are about to go to middle school. It sends a message to them that its okay to be different and that staying true to who you are is very important. Sometimes its hard to be who you really are because your worried about what others may think of you.
