      <description>December 10, 2019- In an attempt to provide internet to all corners of the globe, Elon Musk&#39;s Starlink project will gradually send tens of thousands of satellites into the earth&#39;s orbit. But some astronomers believe the project could increase the chances of asteroid hits to earth.
Space agencies like NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and astronomers make use of telescopes to track near-earth objects that could pose a threat to earth in the future. However, the task will become extremely difficult when telescopes have to filter out tens of thousands of Starlink satellites that are already in the earth&#39;s orbit.
A few months back, while interacting with followers on Twitter, the Tesla founder revealed that humans do not have a proper shield to protect the planet from doomsday asteroids. He made the comments when one of his followers asked whether asteroid Apophis will hit earth in 2029. &quot;Great name! Wouldn&#39;t worry about this particular one, but a big rock will hit Earth eventually &amp; we currently have no defense,&quot; wrote Musk on Twitter. However, later Musk called NASA&#39;s planetary defense mission &#39;Armageddon&#39;, prompting fears that something sinister from deep space was on its way to earth.</description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Back in 2015, Elon Musk and Space X agreed on&nbsp; a project called "Starlink". Its purpose is to provide internet connection no matter where you are on earth. They planned to launch 42, 000 satellites nearer than our traditional satellite. It sounds good but it can potentially cause an end to all lifeforms on earth.&nbsp;<br><br>The positive side of this project is that it is expected that there will be little to no buffering and lagging. It can help boost internet while in online meetings, making projects and presentations, calls and many more online activities. The down side is it has a potential to crash with other satellites creating many space debris. It can also bother astronomers when detecting near earth objects because of the light in the satellites. These satellites can also block the astronomers from detecting other planets, black holes, galaxies and many other more heavenly bodies. There is an asteroid called Apophis that has a 2.7% chance of hitting earth in 2029. Astronomers can have difficulties in detecting it that might cause NASA to not get ready and perform their defense mission "Armageddon" in time leading to the asteroid hitting earth which also leads to death.&nbsp;<br><br>To conclude, this project is to risky to continue even if the benefits of it is good Internet connection and comfort. In addition, if we send tons of satellites into the earth's orbit it can cause a decrease in space on our planet earth.&nbsp;<br><br>In my opinion, Elon Musk's Starlink project of sending tons of satellites into the earth's orbits is a big advantage to us humans because of providing high-speed internet access which we know can benefit us when we are doing activities on the internet.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Project Starlink was created by SpaceX in attempt to send over 42,000 satellites in the earth's orbit to provide internet access to all corners of the globe. This project may seem it's a good idea but astronomers says that this project posts risks.&nbsp;<br><br>John McDowell, an astronomer believes that the science community should've prevented these kind of projects. The reason behind this is because it makes asteroid hunting much harder. The Starlink satellites will be launched at an low-earth orbit approximately 321-643 kilometers above the planet. Starlink satellites are bright that they reflect the sunlight and shine it back to earth so they end up like bright moving stars. As pretty it may seems&nbsp; that holds a problem. Starlink satellites are the most brightest in the night sky right before the sun rises. That exact time is when astronomers look for NEOs (Near-Earth Objects) that could possibly hit earth. The more satellites that are sent up to space, the more they'll interfere the astronomers view for NEOs. On a positive note, Project Starlink is somewhat beneficial for us humans to have access to the internet no matter where we are. Nearly half of the world's population doesn't have access to the internet. Most internet options require an extensive amount of underground wires leaving many rural areas offline. But satellites can reach those areas that wires don't. Traditional satellites are sent 35,785 kilometers above earth creating so much lag and that is just a single satellite. Project Starlink wants to change the way we access the internet via satellites that are far from earth. What Project Starlink aims is to provide less lag. They also want to provide high speed internet in all corners of the world.&nbsp;<br><br>Project Starlink is a big step for humankind. It's for us to evolve to a more alternative solution for internet access. But this may post risks that we may never notice. This project is somewhat ambitious and very risky although what we need to look first into is the risks it may pose and what are the benefits before we give this project the go-signal.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Risks of asteroids striking Earth that Elon Musk's project feared," I learn that the implementation of Starlink satellites by Elon Musk and the SpaceX project have distinct effects on us.<br><br>One of the advantages of this project is having internet connections all over the world since nearly half of the population does not have access to it. While they hope to place more of these thousands of satellites in the Earth’s orbit, it may cause problems, especially for astronomers. Due to the fact that Starlink satellites are so bright, they reflect the sunlight coming from the sun and shine it back towards the Earth. These may also seem to be bright moving stars and are visible in the night sky right before dawn and right after dusk, when astronomers are hunting for near-Earth objects (NEOs) or asteroids that could hit Earth and possibly harm us, which could interfere with the astronomers’ view. If Starlink continues to add more satellites, it will be hard to filter out these satellites, which could hardly see the NEOs.<br><br>Taking everything into consideration, I think putting many satellites in the closest, tightest, densest orbits around the Earth could cause a higher chance for them to collide with each other. As mentioned in the video, these collisions could produce clouds of debris that could orbit the Earth for years, decades, or even centuries, making space unsafe due to the Kessler Syndrome. Which is why, for me, even if these satellites could help with fast internet connections all over the world, I think it is better to thoroughly study this because the Earth could be affected if this happens.<br><br>- Angeline Kate R. There will eventually be a large number of these satellites in low-Earth orbit. As a result, everyone will have access to the internet.&nbsp; Cables that connect to towers on land are located in the ocean. However, the mountains lack internet access. The internet will literally be accessible everywhere thanks to Starlink. You can have internet access even if you're in the middle of the ocean or a mountain.<br><br>-The disadvantage of this project maybe it has a environmental impact of this project because of tons of satellites orbiting the earth the astronomers it might can cause a hard time to the astronomers to see that maybe some asteroid or some object coming , that it might hit the Earth or possibly harm us.&nbsp;<br><br>In my humble opinion , This Starlink project of Elon&nbsp; Musks is very useful and helpful for us humankind that they will provide speedy global internet access providing this high speed internet is a very big help for us especially to the students that they are doing their activities on the internet.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This is such a good topic for me. Living in a country where internet speeds are slow, very over priced compared to other countries, and other part of the country does not even have access to internet. Starlink would be such a good project to implement or use for our country. Just imagine you are in the middle of nowhere and still having signal to contact other people. That is just so cool. Also having fast internet means the faster to send information to other people making the Philippines such a high tech country.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;But in every good thing there is a negative effect. The negative effect in this case is the “Risk of Asteroid Strike to Earth from Elon Musk’s Starlink Project Feared”. Sending the 42,000 satellites sure is ambitious, it also causes problems.&nbsp; As said in the video the satellite is bright, and they end up looking like moving stars. This bright satellites interfere with what the astronomers view, they trick the astronomers thinking the satellites are Near Earth Objects but not. If Starlinks block the view of astronomers, they can not see the objects going directly at earth meaning they wont know if an asteroid strike will hit earth. Having the 42,000 satellites also has risk to hit or collide with each other, if this happens it would just be a waste of money doing or sending the 42,000 Starlinks. It would also lead to many debris around earth which is a really bad. Just like what I said it can block the view of astronomers.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;For my conclusion I think it is not bad to have Starlink. In my opinion it is such a good project that can lead to solving modern day problems. But having so many is not good or can harm us humans because of the risk of asteroid strikes and we won’t know when it comes because the satellites blocks the view. Elon Musk should make a starlink that will solve the problems stated in the video. I think Space X should make a starlink that can cover or provide internet for a whole country so that they wont have to make so many satellites. But yeah I know it is not easy as said. The Starlink project sure is so smart, it can make internet so easy to access for the ordinary person. It would really be like the future if Space X can accomplish their goal with starlink, but its just has so many problems.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Thousands of satellites orbiting the Earth — what could It possibly do to our planet Earth? I assume that most of you all are familiar with the famous billionaire named Elon Musk however, I guess some of you are not familiar with the spacecraft manufacturer and satellite communications corporation named SpaceX. Moreover, Elon Musk and SpaceX came into a new project and soon they developed a new satellite network which is famously known as Starlink. For the past few months, there is an issue that has been circulating on the internet, which is Elon Musk's venture that intends to sell internet access to everyone in any corner of the world via a growing network of private satellites orbiting around our Earth and that is Starlink. On the other hand, one of the wonders, is what could those satellites orbiting overhead possibly do to our planet Earth?&nbsp;<br><br>Like what I have said, in an attempt to allocate internet to all corners of the world, Elon Musk is gradually sending thousands of satellites into the Earth's orbit. However, most people and some astronomers are worried about the possible outcome of Elon Musk's project. One of their concerns is that this could possibly increase the chances that asteroid may hit the Earth. Based on the video I have watched and on the research I conducted, a starlink satellite has a lifespan of 5 years, thus he plans to send 42,000 satellites overhead. We all know that starlink is not the only satellite orbiting the Earth, there are approximately 8,000 and more are present in the Earth's orbit with different mass and size, half of them are active and most of them are no longer functioning. If Musk plans to launch 42,000 satellites, there would be tons of satellites overhead for the next years since there are rivalry between other companies and Elon Musk and SpaceX, some of these companies are planning to manufacture network satellites as well because some of them are competing with Elon Musk. For the upcoming years, there would be a massive number of satellites orbiting around the Earth and there is also a high possibility that they will collide with each other and those pieces of machinery that scattered around may possibly result to space junk. Space junk is any piece of machinery or debris left by humans in space and there are around 34,000 space junk pieces and some of it may be bigger than what we thought, thus it could nonetheless be disastrous if they hit from other space rock or objects in the space. Those pieces of machineries and debris left from the collision may bump on other satellites that may cause endless cycle destruction of machineries. On the other hand, the risk of asteroids strike to Earth is greatly possible. The satellites are mistaken as&nbsp; stars due to they are the same as the stars, they light up above too due to starlink satellites are bright and they reflects the sunlight that passing through it making it look like a shining star overhead. As a result of the enormous amount of visibility of the satellites at night and at dawn it became a problem for the astronomers because it is the exact time that they are hunting for NEOs or near-Earth objects or asteroids that could possibly strike Earth and harm us. In conclusion, the more satellites they send, the more interference would occur when astronomers are hunting for NEOs.&nbsp;<br><br>On the opposing side, there are some potential benefits to this venture. One potential benefit of Elon Musk's plan is that it could help to improve global access to information. Many people are living in rural areas or in poorer countries and they do not have easy access to the internet compared to other people living in a city, thus it can limit their ability to access information and participate in global economies. Moreover, another potential benefit of Elon Musk's plan is that it could help to reduce the spread of online terrorism. Terrorists often use the internet to spread their messages and threats and providing affordable internet access to the entire world could help to reduce the spread of this kind of violence.&nbsp;<br><br>Nevertheless, If I were asked to decide whether I agree or disagree. I greatly disagree with this project of Elon Musk and SpaceX although it has quite a lot of advantages that we could benefit of, there are still numerous disadvantages of spacelink. As a student, I need a fast internet connection because of our researches, online classes, webinars, etc, as much as I want a faster and greater internet connection I care about our Earth a lot more than the speed of my internet connection. Well, based on what I have said, spacelink could result to many and severe consequences and the Earth is not the only one that will suffer but as well as the humans, plants, animals and other living things that are living and present in our planet. In conclusion, whatever the consequences of Starlink could be, we need to be aware of the potential risks and consider what we can do to protect ourselves.          <description><![CDATA[<div>SpaceX's Starlink project aims to eventually create a network of 12,000 satellites that beam broadband internet access back to Earth.</div><div>Many of the satellites that are visible now were sent up in March but their current orbital position has made them easier to see over the past few days.</div><div>These satellites are also particularly bright because of their size and the proximity to Earth. Large satellites are usually sent into higher orbit. Low orbit satellites are usually smaller.Starlink satellites also have wide flat panels, which reflect light.</div><div>SpaceX is working on a "sunshade" that will reduce reflection of satellites sent in future launches.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; According to astronomers, the visibility of the satellites now is less of a problem for them than it will be as the constellation grows and becomes operational.</div><div>Currently, the spacecraft are in a parked orbit, but over the next few months, the craft will use on-board engines to move slighter further from the Earth and rotate their solar panels towards the Sun. That will make them less visible to the naked eye but could mean they cause light pollution for astronomers trying to take pictures of the farther reaches of space."Astronomers' cameras are designed to take pictures of really faint thing and bright light could ruin data," explained Dr Jonathan McDowell an astronomer at the Centre for Astrophysics, a research centre at Harvard University.</div><div>"I applaud the fact that [SpaceX] has really been trying to find ways to make them less bright," he said.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; But Dr McDowell added that there is another problem with the launch of so many new low orbit satellites - increased traffic.</div><div>The growing number of low orbit craft increases the possibility of crashes between objects which could damage machines or send materials falling back to earth.</div><div>SpaceX launches have continued despite Covid-19 lockdown across the United States, where SpaceX is based.Wednesday's launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida was the fourth for Starlink this year and the seventh time it has sent a large batch of the spacecraft into orbit.<br><br>John Mark H.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Project Starlink has an excellent idea of launching more internet satellites into the orbit, this will help users connect to the internet much quicker with no buffering, most importantly can help more people to communicate to each other especially the ones  who are in need of dire emergency like in a car crash&nbsp;it will be much more accessible, more people can learn from the internet discover new technologies and share their ideas on the internet. With having more access around the world government&nbsp;employees, workers, etc will have a much easier time doing their works especially us students, all of this beneficial perks seems too good to be true of course everything comes at a cost.<br><br>Talking about the disadvantages, based on the video having more space satellites becomes a problem, it will interfere with the view of observational astronomers and will make their work more difficult spotting NEOs and possibly NEOs hitting the earth with the satellites obstructing their view, the major concern of all is space debris that it might create the more satellites there the higher chance of the satellites colliding and becoming debris, with the the debris it might also collide with other satellites creating more space debris this cycle is called the Kessler Syndrome&nbsp; although it is stated that the chances are very low its still possible, and if it ever happens the impact it does is enormous, we still don't know where the space debris will go either way it will stay in space and float around for centuries or until we do something about it. This may seem cool but it's a major problem with Astronomers because these Satellites reflect light causing it to interfere with the astronomers view in hunting near Earth objects. This could also affect search for black holes and other nearby planets. SpaceX had to do something with it and it is called a DarkSat which is a satellite that has visors to block the shiny parts from reflecting back to Earth. Yet this “ambition” may lead to serious cons that they still need to improve upon for the future.</div><div><br></div><div>CEO of SpaceX Elon Musk announced Starlink back in 2015 about how they can bring satellite connections anywhere around the globe using 42,000 satellites making everyone accessible to the internet. This can be revolutionary since anyone anywhere (especially in rural areas), can have internet at speeds faster than even ground internet speeds (80-150mbps according to beta testers) which is a lot considering it isn’t even near their target amount of 42,000 satellites and their current amount being 3,300 as of now.</div><div><br></div><div>Now how can this be dangerous to the future of humanity? We all know that 42,000 is a big number, like, really big. Now, look at yourself and imagine that you have 10 cats right now, and multiply that amount of cats you have by 4,200. Yes, THAT big. So now, we know how big the number 42,000 is based on how many cats you have but how dangerous can this be? Well, satellites are made of metals and shiny material, so those shiny satellites can shine light to observatories leading to the pollution of light blocking possible near earth objects from being discovered by astronomers. It could actually delay the discovery of near earth objects such as asteroids, and since it is delayed, the chance of us stopping that near earth object colliding the earth would devastatingly take it’s toll. Not just that, but being able to uncover more of the universe’s secrets and discovering more about the depths of space might even become impossible with all the interference and light pollution seen in the telescope.</div><div><br></div><div>Yes, Starlink can bring us top of the line convenience and breakthrough internet speeds, but it can’t stop us to say that it can lead to dangerous lengths of setbacks such as delaying the discovery of near earth objects and the limiting amount to uncover about the truth of the universe. We can’t say that it’s hopeless though, over time, technology evolves. So, they can find a way of making the technology advanced enough to stop the interference of light, perhaps sending fewer more advanced satellites to maintain the same internet speeds. As for now though, I can say that the technology we have right now is not fit for the future since the plan of launching 42,000 satellites is simply too much and can lead to immense showering of reflected light to our observatories, so, it means that Elon Musk still needs to finish his homework for now.</div><div><br></div><ul><li>Isaiah T. Just imagine all the things you could’ve been doing with your phone, like scrolling through social media apps or playing online games. But here you are, doing nothing without an internet connection. But what if there is something that enables us to connect to our digital world anywhere at anytime? Actually, there is already a project that is currently in progress. And that project, is known as SpaceX’s project “Starlink”.</div><div><br></div><div>Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, it’s purpose is to provide fast and low-latency internet access coverage wherever you may be in the globe. And this is done by launching tens of thousands of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites up in space which communicate with designated ground transceivers. Of course, it is not yet capable of providing internet access anywhere in the globe since it is at an early stage. Fortunately though, as more and more satellites get launched, the coverage gets better as well as connection speeds and latency.</div><div><br></div><div>But as they say, “In every seed of good, there is always a piece of bad”. As beneficial as it may be to us, Starlink also brings up problems to the table. One problem is that these satellites are too reflective and can be mistaken for something else. Astronomers will have a hard time filtering out tens of thousands of satellites when tracking potentially deadly near-earth objects (NEOs) using their telescopes. And because their equipment is compromised due to these satellites, it will also make our chances of finding something new like some black holes, planets, stars, galaxies, etc. much slimmer than it already is. And the main problem is that there would simply be be too many of these satellites that it would block off our access to space.</div><div><br></div><div>In conclusion, this will be a massive leap forward for us. It can extend the access of our digital world to where it once was unaccessible. But the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.          <title>A New Kind of Technology</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Neil Armstrong once said that “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” This quote motivated astronomers, astrophysicists and businessmen to keep on working on technological advances, specifically those that are related to space. One of them is the business man, Elon Musk. Mr. Musk hopes to send a 42,000 globe encircling network of internet beaming satellites in the next few decades. He created a company called Starlink that hopes to bring the world for low-latency high speed internet. His goal is to make anyone online anywhere. He aims to address the problem of internet availability where half of the human population has no access to the internet. 90% of the current internet that we use employs underground cables which are connected under the sea.&nbsp;</div><div><br>For Mr. Musk’s plan to work, he needs to launch satellites close to the earth or what is commonly referred to as near-Earth objects (NEO). By doing so, the connection delay from the normal satellites can be reduced. However, this NEO does not only act as receiver and sender of data for global connectivity. Starlight satellites are bright because their bodies are made of metals which can reflect the sunlight or moonlight and shine it back towards Earth. Hence these near-Earth satellites will end up looking like bright moving stars. Though it may sound cool, this actually poses a big problem especially to our astronomers and astrophysicists who study the cosmos. Starlink satellites are most visible in the midnight sky which is the exact time when astronomers observe and locate near-Earth asteroids. If you have seen some end-of-the-world movies, a lot of “planet killer” asteroids are presented in them. Asteroids, small or big, pose danger to the Earth for they might possibly harm us. This means that the more satellites there are, the more objects will interfere with the astronomers view so we will be having a problem detecting these near-Earth asteroids and preventing them from hitting Earth. These satellites will also obstruct the search of black holes or even new planets which are important research areas for the scientific community. Although Mr. Musk also presented the possibility of DarkSat, a satellite that has all of its shiny parts coated in a very dark material, another disadvantage of launching tens of thousands of satellites near the Earth still remains. When we have too many satellites in close orbits around the Earth, there’s a high chance that those satellites could collide with each other and those crashes will create a cloud of debris that will orbit around Earth for decades or even for centuries. This problem can spiral out of control called the Kessler Syndrome. The probability of a Kessler Syndrome is very low but we cannot ignore the possibility because the repercussions are too big.</div><div><br>For me, whenever adults think of global progress, they must put into consideration first the safety of each of us. Global connectivity included should not be above safety and peace of mind.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I can generally say that internet plays a vital role in one's student life. It is evident during the pandemic year where the use of internet made it possible for us to continue our educational pursuits. However, not all of us learners were able to access fast enough as connections tend to slow down or lag. This is one of the mamy downside of having numerous users versus few traditional satellite internet, hence, the limited connection speed.<br><br>In line with this, having learned about Elon Musk's Starlink Project, guves me a glimpse of having a high speed internet that can even reach isolated areas. How great is that! In fact, early October, SpaceX already launched a few satellites and and plans more totalling 42,000 in low-Earth orbit, to cover all the many users. Likewise, this can also lessen the need to build&nbsp;<br>massive amount of infrastructure like cables to reach remote areas for internet connections.<br><br>However, a loud outcry was raised by our scientists as more satellites can disrupt their astronomical observation. Further, some environmentalists are also concern about "Kessler Syndrome", a phenomenon wherein the density of objects in low-Earth orbit grows so high increasing yhe likelihood of massive collisions. Too dangerous if we think of it.<br><br>Weighing the pros and cons, it may seem that the project will most likely bring more risks to Earth and all its life beings. It is unfortunate to say that providing convenience (good internet activity) to all comes a significant drawback.<br><br>Elon Musk team were brilliant coming up with such project. As of December 2022, SpaceX managed to produce for about 3300 satellites around the earth. With the use of these satellites, internet can be transmit faster compare to conventional satellite internet and cable internet.<strong> On a satellite internet,</strong>It is said that the total roundtrip time for satellite internet is 70,000 km / 3,00,000 km-per-sec&nbsp; = 233 m/s (latency) . <strong>While, on the cable internet</strong> has a latency between 20 to 40 m/s, that shows cable internet is atleast 10 times faster than satellite internet. <strong>And for the Starlink, </strong>it has total latency of 3.67 m/s but due to various system delays, the latency is throughout 20 to 30 m/s, making it the fastest among the three. Aside from that, Starlink is cheaper and it’s signal reaches every part in this world.&nbsp; Starlink’s can be beneficial to everyone especially to students and workers.</div><div>However, these project posed a great threats to mankind.&nbsp; One of these problems poses danger for humanity, and that is starlink’s interference on astronomy. Due to multiple numbers of satellites and its disruptive light streaks, astronomers are having a hard time observing and scanning the space for near-earth asteroids and exploding stars. This may sound like a very great project to all of us, but to others it isn’t. For example, experts worry that it may come at a hefty cost and it might increase the chances of asteroids hitting the earth. In addition to that, many satellites orbiting around the earth might get the risk of hitting and bumping into each other which will produce debris that would fall down into the earth and would burn in the atmosphere. To add up to all of that, these satellites are bright which may reflect the sunlight and would shine it back to earth and would look like shining stars. As cool as it sounds it may trick astronomers into thinking it would be a NEO or an asteroid that might hit the earth. With a lot of satellites that would be set out on the earth’s orbit it could also decrease some space in the orbit. But aside from all of these problems, there are pros about this project. Like if it has the ability to provide high-speed internet connection to people who live in rural or remote places with limited or no internet access. Not only that it would help us people who work and study to search things up easily from the web. With high-speed internet we no longer have to wait for websites that load slowly. Starlink can carry high internet access to places where the connection has previously been spotty or nonexistent since it is not constrained by conventional ground systems.&nbsp;<br>Astronomers are concerned about the size as well as the scope of the space-based project because they worry that the vibrant, geostationary items will obstruct their ability to observe the universe, and space technology safety experts are also concerned because they now consider Starlink to be the main source of mid-air collision in Earth's orbit.<br><br>The world's remote regions, where access has traditionally been difficult, is the perfect fit for Starlink. These satellites will come in handy because nearly half of the world's population does not have internet. These satellites are launched 22,236 miles into space in orbit around the earth. One satellite means a lot of service for many people in the world. Imagine this with 42,000 satellites this means internet is all around the earth. But this project has so many flaws. First is it is interferring with astronomers. Because its surface is reflective meaning it is reflecting the sunlight towards the earth so it is hard to differentiate between NEO's and starlink satellites.Even if it is coated with black it will still shine and have no effect. Second is the space debris. This could be a hindrance because when this debris hit another satellite it will create more debris meaning it will hit more satellites and so on. This is called the Kessler syndrome. This could take years,decades or even centuries. Third is dozens of satellites are disabled and can't move at all posing a potential threat. But what about the places that have no internet access?<br>Elon Musk had a bright idea to send 42,000 satellites into space. His goal with this project is to make the world access high-speed internet with no buffering and for every nook and cranny of the world to have internet access. Project Starlink can bring places who have no internet such as rural locations, mountain ranges, some countries, etc. into the digital age.&nbsp;<br>Although Project Starlink may seem a big help, there are also many disadvantages to this project. Since satellites are made up of shiny material, it can reflect the rays coming from the sun and reflect moonlight. This can be a problem for astronomers and astronauts for discovering NEOs. Moreover, 42,000 satellites up in the sky is a big risk. Imagine working as an astronaut and whilst you are travelling through space and&nbsp;there are these many satellites that disrupt your ability to travel to space and to fulfill your job as an astronaut.&nbsp;<br>Now, my personal opinion on Project Starlink is that while it is an ambitious project, it is way too risky. Tons of satellites can be also the reason why astronomers like NASA won't be able to track NEO'S if their telescope will be filtering many satellites that's around the Earth's orbit.&nbsp;<br><br>But internet these days are already essential we need internet for us to communicate, browse, and accomplish task easily. As a student internet helps a lot, but is it really worth risking to loose track of the NEO'S? We are already fine with our technology today why do we need to risk our planet just for us to have fast internet? If NASA and other astronomers still don't have anything to filter all those satellites then this project must not be implemented. Also the internet has affected our lives, the internet and other devices has took the jobs of things that we usually use such as the radio, television, calendar, calculator, and etc. Yes it is already a big part of our life and helps us a lot. But this project need to launch 42,000 of satellites to space, 15 times the number of operational satellites in orbit today that can affect the access of the astronomers in space. What if the internet around the whole world is cut off, sounds terrible right? Well, what if I told you that there is already a project that is said to be the solution to our internet problems?</div><div><br>I know for a fact that <strong>ELON MUSK</strong> is a well-known billionaire that all of you know. What you might not know is the division within Elon Musk's spaceflight company, the satellite internet venture aims to <strong>bring internet access to people around the world currently living without access to high-speed internet</strong>.<br><br>Introducing the so called “solution”, <strong><em>Project Starlink</em></strong>.</div><div><strong>Starlink, </strong>operated by<strong> SpaceX</strong> is a satellite internet constellation. It provides satellite internet access to 45 countries! Its objective is to supply and offer <strong>high-speed internet</strong> to any nook and cranny around the world.&nbsp;<br><br>Now this might seem like a gourmet dish served on a silver platter and it does catch your attention and interest. But do note that despite all the benefits it offers come the cons. Experts worry it may come at a heavy cost for space exploration.&nbsp;<br>There has been an issue spreading around the metaverse or the well-known internet, wherein it states that Elon musk plans to barter internet access to every human being in the world by using a plethora of advanced satellites.</div><div><br></div><div>Their plan requires a huge amount of low earth orbit (LEO) satellites launched. As of early October, they have already launched more than 700 satellites with a plan to further release a total of 12,000 over the next 5 years. Yet, Musk still wants to add another 30,000 to that. That sums up to a total of 42,000 satellites circling our planet.<br><br>This reduces the connection delay that is evident in traditional internet satellites. The problem is, you need a plethora of satellites overhead to serve many users.<br><br></div><div>This brings up con number 1.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>- Starlink sattelites are <strong><em>BRIGHT.</em></strong> To the point that they are misinterepretated and seen as stars, this creates a problem. The time Starlink satellites are most visible is the same time astronomers hunt for <strong>NEOs (Near Earth objects)</strong> such as asteroids that are a possible torment and could most likely hit the earth and kill us. The <strong>more satellites</strong> we launch, the <strong>brighter</strong> they are and the <strong>higher chance to interfere</strong> with sky surveys. Compromising might lead to certain disasters as the scientists try to filter all the Starlink satellites. They are trying to create solutions to these concerns yet the technology needed for that does not currently exist.<br><br>Con number 2.<br><br>- <strong>Kessler syndrome.<br></strong>Once again, due to the massive amount of deployed satellites, space debris expands in amount. This causes a strong possibility to trigger a collision. Since they have a chance to collide with each other, it <strong>reaches a point where it just creates more and more space debris.</strong><br><br><strong>Nonfunctioning satellites</strong> are likely to cause a chain reaction of long-lasting collisions since they cannot dodge collisions unlike what SpaceX has said. It would create a mass of debris that orbits the earth for centuries! Once we reach that, space is too unsafe to travel and access.<br><strong>This DOES HAVE A LOW CHANCE OF HAPPENING</strong>, yet if it does happen, the impact of it is so high that repair is a big struggle if not impossible. <br><br>In the end, this will be a leap of faith for humanity. Yes, it is a huge help to us humans, like me who use the internet for my studies and other requirements. It helps people to communicate online, browse, gain knowledge, evolve, and more but nonetheless, no decisions are made without consequences.<br><br>Despite the benefit it holds, and the potential it has, this doesn't make it ethical for us to ignore the risks it comes with. It can extend a person's opportunity, and ruin it at the same time. It will open and close roads to the success of humanity. But we must choose what's logical!<br><br>As for my say on this issue, I am against the Starlink Project. For the simple explanation that; <strong>It serves more harm than benefit to existence.</strong><br>The importance of the internet will never be equal to the importance of our lives. I don't think we'd die or perish without the internet! Despite being a daily necessity for our current era, it won't be required in a survival situation we could face.<br><br>Imagine yourself in the situation of the dinosaurs! do you think they'd choose the internet with the payment of extinction? <strong>No. <br><br>So think wisely. Let us face global dilemmas while prioritizing the well-being of humanity. </strong><br><br>Feeling like the world is ending without the internet or access to digital platforms, yet when the internet is served in a better and faster way, it creates problems that can lead to an obvious risk of human extinction. Are you willing to lose our knowledge about upcoming <strong>LIFE-ENDING </strong>asteroids, or would u rather scroll on Twitter instead? Are you able to take the leap of faith and risk your life?          <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; In 2015, Elon Musk made a project, a satellite called “Starlink” in attempt to provide high-speed internet across the globe making communication and navigation much easier than before. This so called “Starlink” aims to deploy tens of thousands of satellites into the earth's orbit. The project has met a lot of criticisms even though it is still in progress, with some experts criticizing it’s sustainability, and it’s posts climate and environmental risks. Now, let me tell you, it may seem like a brilliant idea, but the thing is, this satellite will surely impose a risk on Earth and its people. Does the end justify the means? I don’t think so. Does the end product worth the risk.<br><br>&nbsp; There may be positive side of this project, one is that, it’ll provide internet connections all over the world, making remote areas less remote and improving the way we communicate. While they hope to send thousands of satellites in the Earth’s orbit, it may cause problems. The downside of this project is that, there is a potential that this satellite would crash with others which will eventually leave space debris. If these satellites are close in distance they could collide and crash with other satellites that are allocated on the area, and could possibly interfere with the astronomers signal.<br><br>&nbsp; Considering all of these, Elon Musk’s “Starlink” project will pave the way to billions of people in need of stable high-speed internet across the globe but, do you think the benefits are worth the risk? Does the end justify the means?<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; For me, I disagree on this project. There is more time to think and plan another satellite that is as sustainable and more efficient. And I am sure most of you have heard of the famous billionaire Elon Musk, but I'm guessing some of you haven't heard of SpaceX, a spacecraft manufacturer and satellite communications corporation.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Thinking what could tens of thousands of satellites orbiting the Earth possibly do to our planet? How do you assume it will affect us? and how will it help our living in a daily basis?&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>You may be less familiar with Starlink, Musk's venture that aims to sell internet connections to almost anyone on the planet via a growing network of private satellites orbiting overhead. Well, the Starlink satellite constellation system aims to provide global internet coverage. This system is ideal for rural and geographically isolated areas where internet access is unreliable or non-existent. As of now, you may be wondering how does Starlink work? Well, Starlink uses satellite internet service technology that has been in existence for decades. Instead of using cable technology like fiber optics to transmit internet data, a satellite system sends radio signals through space. Ground stations send signals to satellites in orbit, which then relay the information to Starlink users on Earth.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Based on the video I've watched and the research I've done, Starlink's goal is to simply build a low-latency network in space to facilitate edge computing on Earth. The task of building a global network in space is not easy, especially given the importance of low latency and to meet this demand, SpaceX has proposed a constellation of nearly 42,000 tablet-size satellites circling the globe in low orbit.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Starlink now offers services throughout 37 countries around the world, but the budding broadband provider still has a backlog of prospective customers waiting for equipment and service to begin. However, Starlink is not the only potential candidate in the space race, with OneWeb, HughesNet, Viasat, and Amazon as competitors. Since 1996, HughesNet has provided signal coverage from 22,000 miles above the Earth, but Starlink takes a slightly different approach. And as we all expected, Starlink is not free of controversy. Members of the scientific community have expressed concern about the impact of Starlink's low-Earth orbit satellites on night sky visibility. Meanwhile, competitors in satellite internet, such as Viasat, HughesNet, and Amazon's Project Kuiper, have noticed Starlink's success, prompting regulatory feuding and attempts to slow Musk down.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>And to make things clearer, let us start at the very beginning. Starlink is technically a division of SpaceX, but it is also the name of the spaceflight company's expanding network of orbital satellites, or "constellation," which began development in 2015 and was launched into orbit in 2018. In the years since, SpaceX has successfully launched thousands of Starlink satellites into the constellation, the most recent of which took place on Oct. 27 and delivered another 53 satellites into low-Earth orbit. The total number of satellites in orbit now stands at just over 3,200.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Even though Starlink may be beneficial to us, it also brings up problems. One issue is that these satellites are overly reflective and can be misidentified as something else. When using telescopes to track potentially dangerous near-Earth objects (NEOs), astronomers will have a difficult time filtering out tens of thousands of satellites. Because their equipment is compromised as a result of these satellites, our chances of discovering something new, such as black holes, planets, stars, galaxies, and so on, are even slimmer than they are now. When it comes to providing broadband internet to underserved areas, we can’t deny that Starlink has been a game changer. But the last major disadvantage in my list is the penalty that comes with being an early adopter of new technology. People who signed up for Starlink in the first few months faced numerous network reliability issues, instability, and performance fluctuations. Even today, the service is still in its infancy. The specifications and policies are still being revised. One good example is the <a href="https://www.starlinkhardware.com/starlink-introduces-1-tb-soft-data-limit-slashes-speeds-50-for-us-customers/">recent implementation of a soft data cap in the U</a>S. Starlink's soft data cap is an attempt to alleviate the congestion issues mentioned earlier on this list. If you were a Starlink customer during this transition, you may have experienced a roller coaster ride. The service was originally advertised as unlimited, but changes are being made to account for performance issues. Being an early adopter implies that you are purchasing a service that is not yet fully polished.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>To summarize, this will be a significant step forward for us. Our digital world may now be accessible in places where it was previously unavailable. However, the disadvantages outnumber the benefits. It is now one of the main necessities people consider significant to carry through with their daily lives. It helps people connect with each other, from distant locations, all in a matter of seconds. To some people, the internet is considered their life source since it helps them fulfill their obligations and desires. That is exactly why technology works to provide internet access to everyone, anywhere. <br><br>The <strong>Starlink</strong> project by the SpaceX corporation, aims to provide high internet speed in all parts of the world, even in remote areas. It aspires to bring global connectivity without any difficulties, precisely why they are trying to launch almost 42,000 satellites to orbit around the earth and provide internet connection that is accessible for everyone. Starlink would no doubt, advance our technology and leap onto the next level, but with the threats it comes with, society firmly believes it would draw setbacks onto our discoveries of other heavenly bodies and could even cause great harm to our planet earth. As we all know, astronomers constantly watch the night sky to keep watch over our planet and to observe Near Earth Objects (NEO'S) that would likely cause harm to our planet. With the fact that these satellites reflect the sun's light, they appear to look like celestial bodies under the night sky, which means astronomers would have difficulties with figuring out whether they are one or whether they are NEO'S. Other than that, the possibility of astronomers discovering other celestial bodies would get slimmer as a result of tens and thousands of satellites launched into orbit appearing like heavenly bodies. <br><br>In conclusion, the satellites that would get launched into the Earth's orbit would cause a lot of hindrance with the work of our astronomers to keep track of the bodies outside our planet. Providing high speed internet everywhere is a great idea, but it's not actually necessary. It is simply because we have relied on the internet for entertainment too much that we think it is crucial and we would die without it, but in reality, it's just our minds trying to think of an alternate solution to enjoy itself. Without a doubt, launching Starlink would help our technology advance and it could definitely help us, as humans, evolve.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Sending tons of satellites to the Earth's obrit may sound cool, it may look like stars from afar but there's a deeper explanation to this topic. Elon Musk, a well known entrepreneur who introduced us to a project called "Starlink" stated that the aim of this project is to provide high-speed internet to every corner of our globe. The concept of having a buffer free internet sounds catchy but astronomers believe that with this kind of project risk increases and attracts quantities of celestial bodies, specifically, there's a high chance of an asteroid hitting the earth. So would we take the risk or loose the chance?<br><br>&nbsp;As it is known, satellites provides us&nbsp;<br>high-speed internet access for us to do the things we do in our daily life, like watching television, listening to news and so on and so forth. Internet access is an advantage to us human beings, specially when it comes to communication. As a well known fact, even though we already have tons of satellites in our planet's orbit, half of the population of our globe can't access to this internet resulting to poor communication. By launching 42,000 or even more satellites in different locations, it can cover for moreover a thousand or even more users than it already has and can even decrease the buffering or connection delay and can even provide as the most accurate weather reports and warn us of impending storms. However, astronomers bicker over this topic in view of the fact that it can cause damage to us living creatures and to our planet resulting to a massive destruction. In addition, this can also lead us to space expiration, this means, launching tons of satellites can occupy and overpopulate the place and with this there are chances that these satellites might collide which can result a debris around the Earth or also known as space junk.<br><br>From my point of view, Starlink can provide us convenience and advance internet speed, which is a big advantage to us human beings, especially to us students and employees who works on digital projects and etc. However, with this bright side, I wouldn't take the risk to loose a very important person. Since space around the Earth decreases due to the population of debris, it'll be difficult for us to track or study other celestial bodies that may come towards the path of our planet. Musk goal is to adress the internet availability since half of the mankind population does not have access to the Internet. With the help of Starlink satellites, internet can be transmit faster than to the other network. It is also said&nbsp; that these satellites are much more cheaper and even when you're in the middle of an ocean or&nbsp; in the zenith of a mountain ,&nbsp; you can always access the Internet.&nbsp; It sounds good right??<br><br>But this cool project can bring danger to people and to our planet , as said in the video the Starlink satellites are bright, reflecting sunlight and sending it back towards Earth, giving them the appearance of a large and bright star. However, this poses a serious problem for astronomers because the Starlink satellites are interfering with their search for dangerous Near Earth Objects (NEOs), which could strike Earth and harm humans. Another issue with these satellites is that there is a chance that they will collide or bump into one another while in orbit around the Earth, creating debris that will fall to the ground.<br><br>From my own point of view, The Starlink project&nbsp; is among the most cutting-edge technologies ever made by humans. This is beneficial for people especially students like me who have a lot of schoolwork that requires a connection. Although it is good for humankind, there are a lot of negative effects that humankind cannot currently handle because there is no such technology , we need to study well and more about space exploration especially about NEOs , for us to be prepared if a NEO does become a hazard. This is an advantage since anyone can use this network, especially in commune areas that do not have access to the internet. It has the ability to reach places underground that normal wires cannot. Considering that a normal satellite travels 35,785 miles, creating so much lag—and that is just one satellite— But on the other hand, although this can make all people around the globe go online, there is still a disadvantage that experts are concerned about. According to astronomer John McDowell, the science community should have rejected these kinds of projects. because this can make asteroid hunting much harder. Given that satellites are made out of metal, this can provide a massive amount of sunlight that can block the viewpoints of astronomers. This matter can affect the discovery of NEOs (near-Earth objects) like meteors, asteroids, and comets. This is cause for concern because it may delay new discoveries in our atmosphere and the discovery of hidden secrets in our space.</div><div><br>I admit this project is a big step for us humans because nearly half of the world’s population does not have access to the internet. This is for us to have a more reliable option in a network that can help us in our daily lives. Project Starlink offers fast internet access that everybody can use. But even though this project is ambitious, there are still shortcomings Musk needs to work on. Yes, it is convenient, but it cannot stop the adventure of exploring the depths of space.          <title>An attempt to make the future better or worse? </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Elon Musk, a well- known billionaire thought of a way to provide internet all across the globe and to make our internet connections faster and better by sending thousands of satellites to space. Elon Musk's Starlink project is creative, futuristic and marvelous, but will this project really help our planet or will it just harm us? Let us look through the advantages and disadvantages of this project.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Advantages of this projects are that internet will be accessible all around the globe and the lag will be lessen because of it. I may not say anymore advantage of this project since its only target is to make the internet accessible everywhere and to also improve it.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Moving on to the disadvantages of the project. The disadvantage of this project is firstly, Astronomers will have a hard time with exploring more about space and about our galaxy since their view will be blocked by the satellites that will be surrounding our globe. They also won't be able to see if there are any upcoming NEOs and astronomers won't be aware nor alerted if there are any asteroids that might hit the Earth. Second, there will be too much stuff flying around our planet and I’ve heard the satellites only work for a span of 5 years, after 5 years what will happen to the non-working satellites? Trash? Possibly since what else would you do with the non-working satellites right? With the non-working satellites, they'll replace them with new ones but let the non-working ones remain at space. With them remaining at space what do you think will happen? Space will be polluted by space debris. Third, with many satellites to be launched there might be a possibility that the satellites might collide with one another or with other satellites. The crashes would create clouds of debris that can orbit the Earth for years, decades, or even centuries. The debris can disable or can cause other satellites to crash into one another creating even more debris. If it gets out of hand, then it may cause an effect called the "Kessler Syndrome" and if that happens the space would be unsafe to access which won't be good. It is said that it only ha A LOW CHANCE for it to happen but do you think with that low chance it won't happen? No, It will still happen soon enough and we can't risk making that happen since scientist have been trying to avoid that from happening. If the Kessler Syndrome did happen then will just be surrounded by space debris which are just amount of junk orbiting around Earth. Fourth, With the Kessler Syndrome that could possibly happen space wouldn't be safe to access then the work of NASA might be troubled since NASA is all about space and if space is unsafe then it would cause problems for them. Lastly, With the satellite around the globe will we still be able to see comets, constellations and other space forms? I don't think so since there will be too much stuff blocking the view. Those satellites are so bright that you might think that its a star but no it is not, do you think it'll be nice if you'll think of something that isn't really what it is and later find out that you've been thinking of that something wrongly? No it is not nice, think of it like this, you were born into a loving family and always thought that the parents that you've been living with for years are your real parents but soon find out that they aren't your real parents, what would you feel? disappointed, same goes to what I'm trying to point out, you'll think that all this time you've been looking up at the sky thinking that a satellite was star but it was actually not and is just a satellite.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;In conclusion to my reflection "Is it safe to continue the project?" No, it is not as of what I know. Sacrificing the future of the upcoming generation is not worth it just so we could have better access to internet. Having a fast internet is not an exception to interfere the exploration of the scientists and astronomers. We should think more about what would happen years after and not just the things that will happen now since anything can happen in the future, good or bad, we wouldn't know. It is not good to risk the scientists research nor for the astronomers view since they are the once who looks up at the sky and see if there are any threat coming from space that might hit Earth.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;People should really think about this topic thoroughly since some astronomers believe the project could increase the chances of asteroid hits to Earth.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;We could still explore the galaxy at the same time think of<br>other alternatives to make our internet much more efficient that won't be needing that much satellites or also if we go advance in another way then we might not even need any satellites to provide our internet. There are currently over 3000 Starlink Satellites roaming all over the world, and yes to many it helped a lot, but starlink comes with more consequences rather than advantages. These satellites forestall astronomers from seeing and discovering new things about space, as per these satellites reflect light that makes them look like stars preventing astronomers from easily distinguishing them from stars and planets. Together with technology, we use it everywhere for crucial tasks like interacting with others, working, attending school, or just having fun. The downside is that not many of us have fast connections, or even worse, some don't have access to the internet. These days, we can clearly see how sluggish or laggy the internet has been. However, are you aware that a project called "Project Starlink" is now under work to help us boost our internet connections?<br><br>Starlink is the name of a satellite network developed by the private spaceflight company “SpaceX” to provide low-cost but high-speed internet to remote locations.&nbsp; Furthermore, this satellite constellation project is in Low Earth Orbit, 550 kilometers above us (LEO).<br><br>How does this so-called "Starlink" operate? The array will transmit internet signals from the satellites to transceivers on the ground. It involves conveying internet data by radio signals through the vacuum of space, instead of cables or copper wires. Earth-based ground stations transmit the signals to satellites in orbit, which can eventually transmit the data back to users on the ground.<br><br>According to a tweet from Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, on January 15, 2022, there are 1,469 active Starlink satellites in orbit, with 272 of those moving into operational orbits. Since the beginning of 2018, Starlink has been putting satellites into orbit, and future launches are anticipated to last for years.&nbsp;<br><br>Now, you might think that these satellites are very beneficial for us due to their boost in our internet connection but, some astronomers believe that this project could increase the chances of making our planet Earth close to danger. We are all familiar that astronomers and space agencies like NASA use telescopes to monitor near-Earth objects that may threaten Earth. But it will be very hard for them to observe via telescopes given how many satellites we might have floating overhead. According to certain studies, it has the power to draw large amounts of asteroids.&nbsp;<br><br>Way back in 2015, Elon Musk announced that they've constructed a plan of sending 42,000 satellites into the Earth's orbit to provide all human a stable, fast and reliable network service. However, the scientists think that this may not be possible due to many negative side effects. According to some scientists, it can bring clouds of debris that can orbit the Earth due to possible collisions with other NEOs that might happen someday. When collisions happen, it can create more and more clouds of debris at it also brings more collisions between satellites and this is what you call the "Kessler Syndrome". As a result, it can make the outer space to be inaccessible for astronauts and other space travelers.&nbsp;<br><br>Before I end this reflection, I want to express my thoughts about this subject. In my opinion, Starlink can be very beneficial but risky at the same time. It might bring us a lot of good effects, however, let us not forget about the downside of it. As a student, I strongly disagree with this project. I understand that we need a strong, fast and reliable internet connection but let us not ignore the fact that these satellites can bring our lives into great danger in the future. The internet has evolved into the primary source of information, entertainment, and education. It had a significant impact on our lives in a variety of ways. But have you ever thought about how we can connect to the internet whenever and wherever we want? There is already an ongoing project that will assist us in connecting. It is also known as SpaceX's  the project "Starlink."<br><br>Starlink is an internet satellite constellation operated by SpaceX. Its primary goal is to provide a low-latency, high-speed connection that can be accessed from anywhere on the planet. SpaceX began launching the Starlink in 2019, and by December 2022, they had 3,300 mass-produced small satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). In total, nearly 12,000 satellites are planned to be deployed over the next five years. The Project Starlink is extremely beneficial to us because it allows us to connect wherever we are.<br><br>Even if it has an advantage in our lives, this satellite can increase the likelihood of asteroids colliding with the Earth, which can also have an impact on our lives. Satellites are most visible when astronomers search for NEOs (Near Earth Objects), such as asteroids, which are dangerous and are most likely to collide with the Earth. Furthermore, 42,000 satellites is a massive number. It may result in us losing access to space.<br><br>To summarize, the Starlink project is extremely beneficial to us, and it is a cutting-edge technology that will greatly assist us. However, we cannot deny that it has far-reaching consequences, particularly for humanity. That is why, even though it has already begun, I remain opposed to it. As of November 2022, there are about 3, 271 satellites orbiting our planet earth. This project will provide high-speed internet access all around the globe. The main benefit that we can have in the project created by Elon Musk is having high-speed internet access all around the globe and not worrying about how unstable our internets are. One of its purposes is also to quickly transmit giant volumes of data anywhere on the earth, including the locations which are isolated where the installation of fiber-optic connections might be costly to set down. This project might be good in many ways, but it can also be bad in different ways. One significant drawback of Starlink compared to cable internet. Starlink maintains a fixed quantity of satellites over a particular area at any specified instant. Every user in that location consumes the same amount of data. As a result, the number of people in cities than in rural regions who need to access the same resource. As a result, Starlink's speed within urban regions will be lower than in rural ones. Having 42, 000 satellites roaming around our planet is simply too much. It has more possibility that asteroids will hit the earth because of too many satellites orbiting around our planet.<br><br><br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;If you'll ask me if I agree, or will I disagree, In this case, the disadvantage and risks of having 42, 000 satellites, I surely am against on this project. Having a stable and high-speed is great news for all of us, but i can't risk our lives just to have stable internet access. Imagine the possibility of asteroids hitting our planet, just because we want a good access to the internet. Risking our lives just to improve the internet quality is such a big no.&nbsp; I believe this project certainly needs more studying and more research, so we can lessen the cons of Starlink Satellites.
