         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) Children would wake up at 5 a.m&nbsp; in the morning to do chores before they went to school.<br>2)The Luis and Clark expeditions stretched far and wide, it was a overland expedition to the pacific ocean and back.<br>3) Most medicines during the 1800s were herbal, but there were some inorganic compounds like mercury, but most were herbs.<br>Something interesting I learned was that during leisure time, activities had grown, like baseball and horse riding. Another interesting fact was that woman had to wear corsets under many layers of clothes and sometimes it crushed their ribs. One question I had was how are the medicines we use today much more useful than the meds back in the 1800s?<br><br></div>]]></description>
