They have to go to South Korea by traveling through China and Southeast Asia, (Malaysia, Tailand, Vietnam...) a journey that is more than 5,000km. After they reach South Korea, they go to a place that helps the North Koreans settle well in South Korea.

    This is one of the ways of North Koreans coming to South Korea:

    1. Journey to South Korea

    1. Crossing the lake between North Korea and China

    2. Travel through China:

      They may stay in China for a while, but are in danger of being returned to North Korea.

    3. Southeast Asia:

      They might travel to countries like Vietnam or Thailand.

    4. Final destination:

      They finally make their way to South Korea and find some organizations to help them settle in South Korea.
