         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Native American &amp; Immigrants</strong>&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Diseases brought by the Europeans caused 9 out of 10 Wampanoag tribe to die.</li><li>The Immigrants didn't respect the Native Americans. They took some back to Europe as slaves.</li><li>Squanto taught the Pilgrims how to farm and survive in this area. In the fall the Wampanoag tribe and the Pilgrims had a feast. This is why we have Thanksgiving today.</li><li>The Puritans didn't treat the Native Americans with the same respect as the Pilgrims. They took their land, and the Indians fought back in King Philip's Way.</li><li>ln the King Philip War, half of the towns were destroyed. About 600 settlers and more than 3000 Native Americans died in this war.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Immigrants and Native Americans</strong></div><ul><li>The Native Americans from Massachusetts went into war with the settlers in 1675.  Settlers with weapons not from Rhode Island attacked and killed over a few hundreds of Narragansett warriors.  When the war ended, many Native American left Rhode Island.</li><li>They sold Native Americans as slaves. </li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

Indians died, because of the diseases brought by European settlers. The Spanish set sail to North America, looking for more slaves. Fransisco Gordillo went ashore, in June 1512. </li><li>Gordillo named the land that he found, Carolona, which meant 'Land of Charles', named after the Spanish king. Gordillo then captured some Chicora people, and sent them to the Carribbean. One Chicora person learned to speak Spanish,</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Native Americans &amp; Immigrants</strong>&nbsp;</div><ul><li>In 1681, the Europeans came to Pennsylvania to trade with the Lenni- Lanpe. The Europeans go back to Europe and sell the goods. The goods include beaver skin, iron, bull skin clothing, and other native goods. They like trading with the Swedish Britain clams the Swedish as there own. The Swedish have to leave.</li><li>The Native Americans help the immigrants plant vegetables.</li><li>Dutch fur trader trades fur for duffle fabrics and other goods.&nbsp;</li><li>William Penn makes peace with Native Americans right before founding the land.</li><li>&nbsp; <strong>Immigrants vs Immigrants: </strong>Years go by, and the Revolution has begin. Pennsylvania is ware the first Contanentle Congress had their first meeting with the British. After the meeting the British thoght that if they took over Pennsylvania the war will be over and Britin will have won. So, in 1777 the British come into Pennsylvania and try to take over. They failed badly. After that invasion America decides to boycott most British goods like tea. Hence the Boston Tea Party.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Native Americans &amp; Immigrants</strong></div><ul><li>Immigrants relied on the the Native Americans for food because they were unable to grow corn.</li><li>Immigrants did not treat the Native Americans fairly. They threatened and attacked them.</li><li>Powhatans trapped the settlers in their fort after the settlers had attacked them for food. During that winter many settlers starved to death. Only about 60 lived through to the spring.</li><li>In 1618 the Powhatan chief did not like that the settlers were claiming the Native American’s land. In 1622 the tribe attacked the settlers killing 347 settlers. The settlers fought back and destroyed their villages. The war ended after the settlers killed 200 Native American leaders.</li><li>Settlers cleared Native American hunting grounds.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Immigrants &amp; African Americans</strong></div><ul><li>1619 - Virginians started to use slaves to do labor. The slaves could would work for a certain amount of time and then they would be given tools, some land, and their freedom. </li><li>Later when the English bought slaves, laws were changed and slaves were owned for life.1640 - 1704 the number of slaves increased from 150 to 10,000</li></ul>]]></description>

But the the native Americans didn't want to share the Hudson River with the Immigrants.</li><li> So whenever the native Americans were clear about not wanting to share the Hudson River with the Immigrants . The Immigrants wanted to create a conflict among the native Americans so the Immigrants attacked the native Americans and they killed most of the native American men .</li><li> The Native Americans said it was not going to be forgotten to some of the Immigrants that they had caught.</li></ul>]]></description>
