Create a nurse PR plan: clarify for SEA members what cert nurses actually do and why it's important to maintain certs and not switch to mostly classified nurses in buildings.

If we are losing FTE or we are having 1 nurse per many many students, we should not agree to all the tasks that are given, and the district learns the consequences, for example,

We agree to make 2 requests to families to have epipens available and paperwork. After that there are consequences, like kid doesn’t get to go on field trips.we hand the principal a list of students by a certain date and say: off our plate, here are the. 6 kids who don’t have epipens or paperwork . Just thinking of examples. Maybe not the best .

So we aren’t roped into all this work with crazy deadlines

Also we should insist that the district participate in the stock epipens in buildings that we can access for free . Hats a safety issue, there is always one there.

So we should take off or lighten part of the workload. We don’t need to agree to doing all vision and hearing by a certain date, not enough time , too much n our plate. We do as we can , slowly, we try. We just keep getting hit with so many impossible tasks to complete by this and that date, we should control our workload .
