The government seeking to reduce the number of poverty in the country.  Indonesia has more than 100 local TV stations using of satellite and cable TV systems, and more than 700 radio stations.  "The Association of Internet Service Providers in Indonesia (APJII) announced that Internet penetration in Indonesia has now reached 40 percent of the population, or 100 million Internet users"(Indonesia investments, 2016).  In addition, there are 60 percent of the population about 150 million are living without internet.  Internet Service Providers are doing their effort to make internet access available in Indonesia.  Furthermore, Indonesia is one of the biggest number of social media users in the world and considers as second largest number in the world of Facebook users and the third largest number of Twitter users.  Based on mobile stats in 2014, a number of active mobile broadband subscriptions 80.1 M, mobile broadband subscriptions as a percentage of the total population 32%, active social media users accessing social media on a mobile device 52 M, penetration of mobile social as a percentage of the total population 21%.  "Growing Internet and smartphone penetration in Indonesia is supported by the government's plan to develop an information highway with broadband services for all 514 regency and municipal capital cities across the country by 2019" (through the Palapa Ring project).  Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world and have four types of dimensions which are political, economic, cultural and ecological. The positive impact of the globalization of social and cultural in Indonesia is learning about socio-cultural values, way of life, a good mindset and technology from other country that has been developed.  The negative impact is entering western values across the Internet, television or radio, so that might cause change local cultural values.  There are positive impact in economic globalization of the trade which is Indonesia will get opportunity to import and export goods, products and services, as well as foreign tourists can enjoy in Indonesia’s a natural beauty and diverse traditional cultures.  The negative impact of economic globalization of trade sector are Inflows of foreign trade caused the national trade deficit and the rise of smuggling goods into Indonesia.

A Thoughtful Room Movie no_on_5 https://padlet.com/no_on_5/f3bw5jeeav13/wish/137921217 The name of the film is “A Thoughtful Room” and a director did not mention if the story was fact or fiction, but I believe it reflects some of the realities of family life in Indonesia.     There are four characters in two families, the first family is a wealthy family consisting of an old man who has a young man, and the second family is a less than middle class consisting of an old man who has a teenage girl.   The name of a young man is “Bagas” and he is graduated from University and his father hired him son as an employee of his own Company.  The name of the teenage girl is “Anjani” and she is still studying in high school.  The “Anjani’s father” asked “Bagas father” to get his daughter married by Bagas. The reasons of that are “Anjani’s father” fired from his Company and want to save him daughter life and he had the old man thinking which is “the girl should be married at a young age”. But “Anjani” refused that resolution because she believes that education still number one in her list of life and she has ambitions, dreams and not ready for marriage.

“Bagas” Was in the drug case and father fight for his son, the son say that "his father was his friend since childhood and I am very grateful to him and will live to please him and always I will say yes to him".  Bagas set with Anjani and told her about his story and he doesn't want to get married but for that reason he cannot say “No” to him father.  They don’t think that there are still a boy and a girl that really want to have an early marriage. A person loses his freedom of making the right decision when someone else takes a decisions of his future life.

I believe that Baga’s father was good stereotype of Indonesian workers and father when he supports him son to complete education, working in his company and challenged to fight and protect him son from drugs case.  Anjani insisted the decision of completing the study and she has confidence in achieving ambitions and succeed in the future.  In the end, every persons deserve to have a better life and to enjoy in their life, there true dreams “some people sell their dreams, some other are stolen, and some another runs through their life to pick up their dreams”.
