TECHNICAL NOVICE..!

In the last week we often go to the computer class...we have work on different program like Excel, where we created some grafics on the sun and the moon. Also we visited many sites like Scientix (where we can finding scientifical esperiment and explantions), other sites that we visited is Go-Lab ( here there are various explantions about certain scientifics topics.

TOGETHER BACK THE SUNDIALS

The 18/09/2015 with the chimical teacher, Costantina Cossu, when we went out from the school we walked on the sundial. Unfortunately that day was raining and we found a shelter under the roof of the Tecnical Professional. As soon as finished to rain we continued to walk on the sundial!! ^_^

Today 17/11/2015 with my class, we are going for the second time in the chemistry laboratory. We checked and studied the homogeneous and heterogeneous sistems, the separation techniques, the filtration and the chromatography. We started mixing, with several orders, small doses of: salt, coal powder and topsoil. The struments that we used are: filter paper and two plastic jars where we doing the mixtures.. but for the second ewperiment, the chromatography, we used the filter paper, one black pen (a BIC pen)and different markers..

SCIENTISTS NOVICE..!

The 20/10/2015 with my class we have played our first labority ativity. We have study the density of different miscible or immiscible substances.. the struments that we use are: a flask, a calibrated container, a pippette, with this strument we can withdraw definited amount of material, the port-pippette, and different substances like Coca.Cola, methylated spirits, Sprite, oil and other..!

Hi! I'm Roberta Carboni and I'm 13 years old! I live in Alghero a seaside town. As soon as we arrived on the sondial, the teacher signs us in some team between 4-5 people, give us a file for each person, this file had to compiled with our conoscence about the three different sondial. *_*

ORIENTERING: PORTO CONTE

On 5 April we went at Porto Conte for do an Orientering activity. We were separated in three groups; every group had some activity to do in different locations. We have done different activities and then we created our totems with natural products. My group - formed by me, Andrea Tedde, Carlotta Manca, Giulia Ceccarelli, Martina Sinis, Chiara Langella, Sara Livesi and Irene Miraglia - made the totem in the sea shore with sticks found in the land, our totem looked like a Indian tent. This This experience was beautiful, we had a blast !!!

FLAME TEST

Same days ago e went to the chemistry lab where we did the flame test. To do this we used: an alcool stove, a wire of nichel cromo, hydrochloric acid and 6 elements placed in a glass plate. We used a wire of nichelcromo fixed to a glass rod. After having joined in hydrochloric acid, with it gathers some grain of the substance to be analyzed and brings it over the flame of a Bunsen burner. the operation is repeated with six different powder compounds.

ATOMS

With the teacher we formed four groups by six people for do some esperiment to study the atoms. we had a weight scale and substances to weigh. For first we ha weigh a grain of rice and after some calculations nnanzitutto abbiamo pesato un chicco di riso, e con una serie di calcoli we got to weigh an atom of a substance.

SURFAGE TENSION

Last day with our teacher we formed four groups by six person. Every group had a needle, some water, a bowl and paper sheets. We started with putting the needle on the paper sheet, then we place it on the water and the paper went down, while the needle was floating on the water. This happens thanks to a phenomon called Surface Tension.

DISSECTION OF A FISH

The teacher last day give us a fish and with a partner we have to dissect the fish. The fish was grey and it was long about 13 centimeters. it has two pins, one dorsal and one caudal. The color is used for camouflage, the pins is used for the movemetn. It has a hydrodinamic form.

DISSECTION OF CRAB AND SHRIMP

Another time we dissect a crab and a shrimp. A crab has 8 legs with 3 phalanges; it has 2 pincers with 2 pliers. Into the pincers there is the pulp. it has 2 eyes and a little mouth. The body is covered with a armor.
The shrimp has 10 legs placed in the belly and 8 legns in the body. In the head there is a substances green and yellow, there is a black filament (the digestive system). It has 4 antennas and 2 eyes.

ACTIVITIES IN PORTO CONTE

Last day we went in 'Porto Conte' to do some activities with the nature. We met at 08.15 at school and, with the bus, we went in the park. Here there was a guide that explained the history of the park. then we do an activity of recognition of plants. After we did a game to get to know the bee body. Once the game ended we ate honey produced at the park. Then we back home.
