I also enjoy football because it makes me forget about all the bad stuff that has or will happen to me so with football i can leave all my emotions on the pitch and that really helps me clear my mind whilst i am with my friends having an enjoyable time. Another personal interest would be performing to people like in drama or in football or in any thing because most people see me as a cheeky clown which i can be but i also want to show them that i have a serious side to me when its important to me and i think with drama i can do just that.

Secondly i enjoyed making the chocolate factory and seeing it come to life and how many sweets and chocolate were needed. Another experience were all the performances that i have done in drama through out year 7 to 10 I have enjoyed drama because i get to show people what i am truly capable off.

Mr Tom
Mr Tom is in his late sixties who lives alone with his dog, and who has kept to himself since the death of his wife and baby daughter when he was a young man.Even though he has lost 2 of the closest people to him people like the villagers would think he is rude and grumpy he is still kind and caring.I think Mr Tom puts willies needs and safety before his thins could be because he hasn't be ass close to and one else apart from Willie ever since he lost his wife and daughter so maybe he doesn't want to lose Willie. Another reason I know Mr Tom loves Willie like his own son is because Mr Tom goes to the art shop in the village to buy stuff for Willie even though is reminds him of his wife and daughter and promises himself never to go.This shows that even is he is heartbroken he puts his emotions to one side for Willie.

Willie Beach
Willie Beach is a young boy who is terrified of everything the reason for this is his abusive mother. This film is set around War so Willie gets evacuated to a village and lives with Mr Tom.Willies main goal is not to get in trouble. As he is talking to Mr Tom he cannot take his eyes away from the poker that Tom is using because he is scared he might get hit by it. I think Willie is scared of everything and every one because when Tom opens Willies envelope it has a belt from his abusive mum that used to beat him up with. This shows that Willie has grown up in a family that doesn't care about him

In year 10 drama we went to watch Othello Macbeth which was based on how life was in the early ages and how women were treated.

-The story line was about how Othello misunderstood his wife Desdemona and from his anger killed her. During the middle of the play all the women die but come back to life to haunt the men.
-The themes are based about love anger and hatred.
-This play was based on realistic theatre and what would of happened in the early ages.
-A style of naturalistic theatre was when Othello killed Desdemona because in the 19's men where more powerful and didn't care about women so i think it was easy for Othello to kill his wife because he was seemed most important that everyone so he really didn't care.
At the beginning I would say the dialogue was calm and loving but during the middle it the dialogue was full of anger and misunderstanding.
-the dialogue was insulting for example when Othello called his wife a hore.
-An example of a scene transition that was effective was when when the stage opened and the three Dead women appeared and talked with one another to the audience this was effective because it shows the audience that they are thinking the same thoughts.
-The props that that they used was when Iago wore his knight suit because it shows the readers that this was quiet old and this is what would have happened.
-Women where represented as calm and loving this was shown when Othello was disrespecting and abusing Desdemona
a she still loved him and kissed him even after she was abused.
-I think still today in society there are men who abuse there wife and think men are more important but there are also people who treat all genders the same so i think society hasn't changed the much based on different genders.

A director annual mean wage is £111320.

In our first year 10 trip we went to watch a play based on Othello Macbeth put into one. In this play it was very romantic for example Othello would kiss Desdemona and tell her he loved her also Iago would kiss her wife and have good trust between them. The plot of the play was misunderstanding and how Othello would quickly can change how he feels about for example like when he got angry at Desdemona and strangled her to death. One way they could off made it more interesting and enjoyable was adding more drama or action because there was a bit too much of the characters talking to the audience which can turn boring. But all round it was a good performance of the two.

In this play it included murder and sanity also there was something at stake.
we learnt that is is more important to hear a play than to see a play.
We also learnt that its not what is stuffed into you but it is what is drawn out. Also the human race has found no better form of communication than speaking. In Macbeth there are differences such as the witches speak in a completely opposite rhythm. Also Macbeth has one of the most loving relationship Michael Attenborough said that drama is better when its naturalistic.

What is the role of an ‘actor’?
When actors preform they use there voices, costumes, bodies and gestures. Actors can preform in movies, on television, commercials, theater,
theme parks and in plays.
There is no education requirements but although many theaters might want a bachelors degree or have some formal training.
After securing a role, the actor studies the script to learn about the character and memorize the speaking parts. Sometimes scripts change during rehearsals, and actors may find themselves memorizing new lines. Some parts may require actors to sing, dance or perform stunts.
Actors need to have the confidence, energy and dedication to perform.also they need to have to know there drama techniques. they also need The ability to enter into another character and engage with an audience.. But i think being able to improvise is important for a actor because just in case they forget there lines they wont just stand there but they will carry on.

This was a good play especially because the actors used them selves to create different objects. It also used a shipping crate which moved around and where actors will go in and change there costume. I also liked the lighting and how whenever the scene changed so did the lighting. They used by round through when they wanted to show the emotions of the character for example when one of the actors were upset and miserable they would go round some one else go under there arm and then lean on the person to show they need someone one there to help them.

Physical theatre is a type of performance that is based around movement, pace, exaggerated gestures. But remember there are a huge number of variations as the genre covers a broad range of work. But essentially Physical theatre is anything that puts the human body at the centre of the storytelling process. As a result it’s often abstract in style, using movement in a stylised and representational way. With the expression of ideas choreographed through movement, such performers use very little or no dialogue at all. There are some physical theatres in london for example DV8 Physical theatre and frantic assembly. Physical theatre companies such as frantic assembly, adapt plays such as Othello and they make them more modern by introducing movement, this might be so the audience nowadays will understand the whole concept of the play.

DV8-The DV8 is a company who like taking risks and using physical and they also like using drama and dance in there performances DV8 is motivated by artistic inspiration and creativity
https://youtu.be/6NnmH1MUniY

The system this term refers to the methods used by Stanislavski to foster a good performance in his actors. It focuses mainly on helping an actor recall the emotions needed for a role. Don’t confuse ‘method acting’ with the System. Method acting is how Stanislavksi’s work was interpreted by others, in particular, actors and directors in the film industry. The given circumstances are the information about the character that you start off with and the play as a whole. How old is the character? What’s their situation in the play and in relation to the other characters? Are there any notes provided about the play and its characters? Such notes and stage directions may not tell you everything you need to build a character but they are the starting point from which you’ll work to examine the other questions.
Konstantin stanislavski quoted "there are no small parts there are only small actors" this quote tells us that what ever you do in a play or any thing related with acting is use full and every little bit builds up and makes the whole act. It’s very easy to over-simplify the method of Konstantin Stanislavski, one of the greatest and most influential of modern theatre practitioners. The main thing to remember is that he takes the approach that the actors should really inhabit the role that they are playing. So the actor shouldn’t only know what lines he needs to say and the motivation for those lines, but also every detail of that character’s life offstage as well as onstage. In this way we can establish Stanislavski as a director and practitioner whose productions are naturalistic.

We had to do some warm ups as a class for example our teacher will shout out a word for example place and we will have to point to our favorite place in our room another one was person and we would have to go and hug some one. i think the point of this exercise is so we all get comfortable with one another. During the lesson we learnt about around/by/through. Around means when the actors will have to go around the other person,by means the actors will stand next to each other and through means the actor could go under the other person for example under there legs or under there hands. This is a good technique for actors to use because they get more close and comfortable with others around them also they use all the space around them.Another thing we learnt in pour class was when one actor will use there hands to control how they move or where they go simply by putting there hands over one another's. Next we learnt a lift where there will be one actor who will be the stone and he has to keep steady because another actor will apply all there power to the stone's shoulders and the other actors will lift the actor by there legs so that they are off the ground.

In drama me and my partner would do chair duets. We had a story and that was friendship and that i would be pushing him away and trying to stay away from him but he would try bring us back together . It is a good thing to try add in a scene because it has allot of meaning also it creates a good atmosphere if there is music in the background. The people who created the chair duets were frantic assembly.
This is a clip of two people from frantic assembly talking about chair duets-https://chairduets.franticassembly.co.uk

Verbatim theatre is real interviews taken by real people about a real event or subject and then the real life people are portrayed on the stage by actors
many verbatim practitioners like Alecky Blythe makes her own stuff

Nicolas Kent who is a director said "you have to be accurate with every single word said"
David who is also a director quotes " when you write your own play you base it on your self and your imagination nut when you take other peoples experience, it is more realistic and natural.
Verbatim is realistic because you get the dialogue from the person like erm,cos or also when they pause.
Verbatim is a tool educate people, it involves political issues and issues in our society.
When studying verbatim you can take words from newspapers, blogs, interviews but you need to research and make sure it is true.
The downfall to using a blog or article etc is that you don't know how the person said it.
Many times during a interview people record the conversation to then replay it to see did they miss any thing out.
You need to ask your self what is the story i am trying to tell? also is it clear as possible.
Its really important to make sure when you stage the play you make sure it is specific its from where the incident took play.

https://youtu.be/ui3k1wT2yeM

for our drama class we watched a verbatim performance and it was about the hillsborough disaster which took place in 15 April 1989 which killed 96 people and injured 766. The performance looked realistic because when the mother of the child who died was talking there were tears and that is probably what the actual mother was doing. also there was a court part where the actor was getting answered and the way he was talking was quite upset and angry which shows what the actual person at that time was saying.

In our drama lesson we are studying a Mark Wheeller play. Called I love you mum i promise i wont die.We first studied the script then we got into our characters. I am playing Dan but later on i play as one on the doctors. This play is very interesting to work with because it sets a example to our generation about how our youth gets led into things they shouldn't be doing. The play is about a teenager who is called Dan who goes out and parties with his mates until one day he was talking to his mum and Dan's mum said for him to be careful and he replied with I love you mum i promise i wont die. Later on that evening an and his mates took drugs but because Dan never took any drugs he never knew what it is capable for, but sadly Dan took to much and died. I think we studied this play from Mark Wheeller because i sends out a message to our young society to be careful and not do nothing if you don't know the outcome of.
