<title>Insulin resistance - the insulin became inefficient to move glucose in the cells. The pancreas starts to release more insulin in the bloodstream in order to compensate and that is how the pancreas wears out. Then the excess glucose in the blood is converted into fat, which can lead to weight gain</title>

Insulin
resistance is when the body can not properly use insulin (the cells don&#39;t
respond to the insulin) to transport the glucose into cells to convert it to
energy, so the pancreas try to produce more insulin. With time the beta
cells in the pancreas can get worn out because of this, leading to type 2 diabetes. Insulin is the fat storage hormone so
more insulin in the bloodstream converts glucose into fat instead of using it
as energy.&amp;nbsp;</title>
