Glad you defined thermotherapy and explained the different modalities. Sometimes it was hard to hear you. with the overhead fan/vents blowing. It was hard to see the Youth Employment percentages for May-August 2014. Glad you defined arthritis. I am wondering about your 1993, 2002, and 2004 references. Has no one researched this topic more recently? You were significantly over the presentation time limit!!

Starlyn, I think you did a really great job of using powerful, professional verbs to describe your STAR task, and then a nice job of verbally explaining the details of what you actually did with the Twitter page. I think you also did a very thorough job of explaining what the interventions you are researching for your Capstone are, and the images really bolstered your explanations. My grandfather actually uses paraffin wax treatment for his arthritis and finds it quite helpful, so it was interesting to me that this is the topic you're researching. Your slide about the conclusions you came to regarding your Capstone question was a bit wordy, perhaps cutting down on the slide content and giving a verbal explanation would be helpful, because you did a great job explaining your other slides verbally. Overall really nice job!

The pictures were helpful for understanding thermotherapy. I wish you spoke a little about how the therapy works. Like if it affects the joints maybe it reduces inflammation my increasing fluid mobility. Overall you presented your information clearly.

I really liked how you explained a specific example for project team (I think it was), because ti helped to get an understanding got what it was about. I also thought the slides on therapy were important, as you provided pictures and related to your past experiences shadowing an OT. You had a lot of great information but sometimes the slides were a bit full with the literature, it might have been easier to follow with shorter concepts.

Really solid explanation of your practicum site! Seems like interesting research to be involved in. What I would suggest is to watch out for your use of the word "like" because it can be a bit distracting from your message. Also the information you had about your paper so far was compelling but it could have been easier to understand as a listener if there had been less written on the slides, by possible just highlighting the simple key points and then further explaining which you did well anyway.

Thorough explanation of what your site does, I appreciated the examples. Transition planning is very important and you communicated that well! I learned what thermotherapy is as opposed to hydrotherapy. It sounds like it could be helpful for people in my capstone population who experience pain post-amputation. You have a very soft and comforting voice, you could also be more expressive at times/parts that you are passionate about.

I thought it was super interesting, especially the paraffin wax and fluidotherapy. This is a really cool and specific topic. Your practicum sounds very interesting too. During your delivery of the information, watch out for overusing words such as "like" and "basically" because it can be distracting and make the presentation less concise.

Your practicum site sounds really interesting ! I've heard great things about YELL lab and Dr. Kramer's work. Professor Jennifer Green teaches a class on families with children with disabilities and I've learned the importance of transitioning from this class. Check it out, if you can ! I never thought about how professional twitter accounts need to be accredited and the process that goes into it, so that was interesting to hear. It was a bit difficult to hear you at times. You sound like you know what you are talking about so be confident and speak a tad louder ! Also what's the "so what" of your capstone? Mentioning what your research could do for the future would have been beneficial. Overall, great job !

Starlyn, nice job highlighting the top projects being conducted at the YELL lab. I like how your slides are concise and easy to read. Great use of statistics to support your infographic! I appreciate how you thoroughly explained thermotherapy using a written definition and visuals to supplement. The way you explained the extent to which fluidotherapy is efffective (with specific conditions) is very useful for your audience. At times it was difficult to understand what you were saying, so taking more frequent pauses and speaking a bit more slowly might be helpful.

This was cool! I had never heard of this before as I am not too familiar with OT ~things~. I thin you presented your information well, and you were prepared to answer all the questions asked of you. My only concern was that your research was a little bit outdated. This might be a little bit of a concern because the prevalence of arthritis is definitely changing as it is more recognized today than perhaps it was back then. You might want to say if this is something that could still be used today, etc. future implications would be a great addition. Overall, it was really good! Nice job.
