I hope to look at language exchange communities, and people who read and write in some way during their spare time. I'm at the pre-proposal stage, but am attracted by the ideas of new literacy studies, identity and investment, narrative writing, reading for pleasure, strategic competence and intercultural communicative competence... I suppose the proposal will help me to narrow this down into a more streamlined and cohesive set of ideas!
