         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Share literature that involves and can be understood by all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. </p></li><li><p>Practice an additive approach when teaching so that you abide by school guidelines but also have the ability to integrate critical thinking and reflective opportunities</p></li><li><p>Create a classroom atmosphere where students feel free to share the cultures background and heritage with items such as food, clothes and history.</p></li><li><p>Invite and present volunteers to come to your classroom and educate students on specific topics and answers any questions.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <title>Topic 2 : Culturally Responsive Teaching Methods</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p> In order to have positive culturally responsive teaching methods, you first have to get an understanding on how much each student knows at that moment in time and what needs to be worked on primarily. </p></li><li><p>Genuinely explain the importance of the subject you're trying to teach the student, give them insight as to why the information is worth their valued time</p></li><li><p>Make the learning setting as comfortable as possible, for a stressful home plus school environment creates the negative in which we see most today</p></li><li><p>Hold the students accountable, with today's technology it is easy to cheat and gain information in ways in which no learning is actually involved. Teach the students that purpose and meaning of holding yourself accountable and the positivity it brings. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <title>Topic 3 : Fostering a Multicultural Classroom Environment</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>One way I will foster a multicultural environment in the classroom, is creating a family oriented class and doing that by having the students bring photos of their own families and have them hung up in the classroom.</p></li><li><p>Incorporate activities such as " Show-and-Tell" to not only show the students culture, but work on public speaking and writing skills.</p></li><li><p>Keeping a library of books that details different cultures and their histories for students to read on free time or research.</p></li><li><p>Appointing guest speakers about the present topic of culture would be a fun way for the students to interact and get outside knowledge.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <title>Topic 4 : Engagement with Families and Community</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Schedule days during the year where parents or families of students can bring in items or create a presentation of their culture to the class.</p></li><li><p>Having a family day at the school yard or local playground where families of the students can interact and get to know one another. </p></li><li><p>Take the students to local or nearby museums and have them create projects on what they learned from those places</p></li><li><p>One activity that I want to adopt for my classroom, is flag week where we pick a flag from a different country each week and have the students research and present something about that country.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
