         <description><![CDATA[<p>A puncture wound is a small but deep hole caused by a pointed object like a nail or needle.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Initial Care:</strong></p><p><strong>DO NOT REMOVE PUNCTURED OBJECT</strong></p><p>Clean with an antiseptic.</p><p>Do not close the wound immediately to allow drainage.</p><p>Apply a sterile bandage.</p><p><strong>Post Care:</strong></p><p>Watch for signs of infection.</p><p>A tetanus shot may be needed.</p><p>Referral if the object remains embedded or the wound worsens.</p>]]></description>
