He doesn’t have his life planned out of a map
He just plays guitar and writes his songs
They say it’ll get him nowhere
But in the end he proves them all wrong

He might not be best with music theory or know every chord 
But he puts his heart into his music and plays till his fingers are sore

His voice both husky and beautiful 
So unique, they don’t consider it musical 
But he’s created something new, something new to all

Pencil in contact with the paper 
He writes his final words
Hoping for something greater 
Though his prayers were never heard

Inspiring words in the songs he sung 
Hand held to his forehead with a gun
In his letter he said it was too much
