In the 18th century Prussia became a kingdom expanding it's borders, and became a dominant power in Europe. During the Napoleonic wars at the beginning of the 19th century . Napoleon created the confederation because of the Rhine out of his conquests in Germany. Bismarck used the disputes to start a war with Austria. They were ineffective at stopping the rivalry.

By the mid-19th century, the Italian unification (led by the kingdom of Sardinia.) Giuseppe Garibaldi, backed by the kingdom of Sardinia) led to the estabshment. An Italian nation-state. Victor emmanuel II was the first leader. The capital at the time was turin.

The African people on the island fought all the largest armies of the world at the time. The revolution is the most important thing for them. 1804 is important because it's the date when implementation of the dream of real revoliton and real equailty and real new nations. The first time in history an enslaved population actually overthrew their oppressors. Haitian Revolution was very influential particulary amongst Africans and seen as a inspirtation for Africans.

With his mother’s encouragement, he took up the study of law at the University of Göttingen in the kingdom of Hanover. He ordered the 1804 Haitian massacre of the remaining French population in Haiti, resulting in the deaths of between 3,000 and 5,000 people, including women and children, and an exodus of thousands of refugees.Notably, he excluded surviving Polish Legionnaires, who had defected from the French legion to become allied with the enslaved Africans, as well as the Germans who did not take part in the slave trade. The French government had been through changes after the Revolution and was by then led by Napoleon Bonaparte. His wife, Josephine de Beauharnais, was from a slave-owning family. But many white and mulatto planters had been lobbying the government to reimpose slavery in Saint-Domingue. Napoleon was committed to restoring slavery in Saint-Domingue in an effort to restore the basis of the labor to cultivate and process the great sugar crops. Saint-Domingue generated the highest profits of any of the French colonies prior to the Revolution in 1791.
