Venezuela is a country located in South America right on the coast of The Caribbeans. Here their official language is Spanish, as nearly everyone speaks it there. As of 2022, the population in Venezuela is around 23.2 million people.

There was recently an oil spill reported on Venezuela's Caribbean coast. Apparently this spill infected a towns worth of people's drinking and ocean water.

Week 3: Traditions

One of the many traditions in Venezuela is Carnival. Carnival is a national holiday in Venezuela. During this day, all businesses take a day off, and lots of people join together to participate in games races and street floats.

Week 4: Tourist Attractions

In Venezuela there are many tourists attractions, mostly being beaches. One of the most popular attractions is Angel Falls, the world's tallest waterfall. Another popular place to visit is the country's capital, Caracas. If I were to visit Venezuela, I would go to see Angel Falls.

There are many delicious popular foods in Venezuela, but the tastiest looking one were these Golfeados. Golfeados are quite like cinnamon rolls, but with cheese in between the rolls. The paste is made by using cinnamon, butter, sugar, and milk halfway through baking, you pull them out and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese with a syrup on top.

Week 6: Music & Dance

In Venezuela music and dance is of course very important to their culture. The most common dances they do are the merengue, salsa and bolero. Reggaeton is also a very popular music style of Venezuela.

Week 7: Sports

Major sports in Venezuela are baseball, basketball and football. Baseball is the biggest sport, being popularized in Venezuela in the early 20th century. American oil companies mined for oil in Venezuela, influencing the sport while they were there. The Venezuelan Professional Baseball League was later established in 1945.

Over this prohect I've learned a ot about Venezuela and it's culture. Comparied to America, where I've been all my ife, Venezuela has many unique and beautiful traditions. The country overall is very pretty. I would like to visit Venezuela one day because some of its events and attractions are very interesting looking. I liked doing research for this project and hope to maybe see it one day.
