naledi, at a site in South Africa. They found many bones and teeth of adults,
children, and babies. Some parts of the skeletons they found looked like those
of modern humans, while other parts were not as advanced. For example, the
skulls they found were much smaller than those of other members of the Homo
group. Scientists believe that H. naledi could date back as far as two or three
million years.
Since finding the bones, scientists have learned that H. naledi could climb trees
and walk on two legs for long distances. There are thousands more bones still at
the site. Studying them will be helpful in learning more about this species. It
