Plants change light energy into chemical energy.</div><div><strong>chloroplasts</strong>-organelles found only in plant cell that contain a chemical called chlorophyll</div><div><strong>chlorophyll</strong>-a green material or pigment found inside chloroplast that traps the sun's energy.</div><div><strong>glucose</strong>-a type of sugar made inside chloroplasts. Light energy breaks down water and carbon dioxide to form a new material, glucose.</div><div><strong>carbon dioxide</strong>-an odorless, colorless gas in the atmosphere that animals, including humans, give off as they breathe. Plants use CO2 to make food.</div><div><strong>oxygen</strong>-an odorless, colorless gas given off as waste from plants which all animals must have to breathe.</div><div><strong>stomata</strong>- tiny holes on the underside of leaves that take in carbon dioxide</div>]]></description>
