When Acid Rain falls into the Great Lakes, it can harm the food chain and life cycle of plants and animals. This is because when fish are eating food, they may accidentally eat the poisoned water. It can also harm humans when they eat the fish that lived in the acidic water. Plants can suck up the water from the soil, making them die. This changes the life cycle because then plants and animals don't have a chance to grow and reproduce.

Humans can protect the environment in the Great Lakes by stop building so many factories. Factories drop a lot of gunk/waste into the water and can be extremely harmful to environment and the water. Another thing humans can do is think about the environment for once its actually really simple "DON'T LITER IN THE WATER." We don't even think about what we are doing, throwing waste/garbage into the water is really dangerous for the animals that live in the water. The last way we can help the environment is by using pubic transportation or carpooling with a friend. Car exhaust is a huge cause of pollution and very harmful to the environment. This is three ways we can protect the environment in the Great Lakes area.

Acid rain in the Great Lakes affects the food chain and life cycle of plants & animals by killing off certain species, which causes others to not have food and die, and so on. I know this because acid rain is not good for animals or plants to consume, and if they do, they would die. If certain animals/plants die, this causes other animals higher in the food chain to not have food to survive, causing them to die, and so on. This would eventually get to the highest species on the food chain, and cause them to die, and there would be no one left on the planet. This is reasonable because I used known facts to explain a scenario that could happen in real life, in this case, the food chain and how acid rain can affect the food chain/life cycle.

There are a few laws. One of them is paying a fine of about $500. This is because if you pollute and litter in the ocean, it's going to harm living things. Once you pollute and litter into oceans, really bad things would happen without anyone knowing. When you litter, those items that you threw into the ocean will harm living things at the bottom or middle of the ocean. If you pollute into the ocean, the water will become dirty. One time, someone littered, and a day after, a turtle almost suffocated because he had plastic strangled around him. I don't know where this fine is in the world.
