Social development in early childhood is where a child learns to interact with others, form relationships, and develop a sense of themselves in relation to others. Children also learn important skills needed in their daily lives such as communication, empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution. These skills are helping children understand their own emotions and others as well while thy build meaningful relationships, and navigate the social world around them. Social development in their early childhood is very important since it sets the foundation for future social, emotional, and cognitive development.
