There was a lot of wickedness on humankind on earth and people kept getting cruel and evil, so God was planning to flood the earth to renew it from sin. It's part of original sin because Adam and Eve passed their sin down to us. God's relationship with people isn't that great while he loves them, he is being hurt by his people because they sin and he wants to renew them. Noah is faithful and chooses to be with God and knows that God is good.

Noah's experiences have showed me how God loves us and the earth because he promised to Noah that he will never flood the earth again and the rainbow is a symbol of that. It also shows God's love for us. Therefore, we still have those promises because God loves us dearly to never do it again.
