Two young women Maria Stavrianidou, a director and songwriter and Maria Petkou, a composer from Naousa in Imathia, sensitised by the installation of additional wind generators on Mount Vermio 6 months ago, have collaborated to write an extraordinary musical composition, accompanied by a choir. Mrs Stavrianidou has personally conducted a research and reached the conclusion that wind turbines, not only in Vermio but globally as well, have a negative impact on the ecosystem. Being emotional, she decided to send her own message to inform people of the issue, with the help of Maria Petkou, who took the responsibility to compose the music.

Lyrics
Listen to the birds singing
listen to the streams flowing
listen to the mountains echoing
They speak to you of wounds
They're begging you
Should you hush, they will be gone
They're crying
All for one, everything is one
Open up your heart and remember
Open up the eyes of your soul and remember

Katri Varvara

Because - Kostas Vassiliou

Because you burned my forests

To cut your plots

And you are talking about Dasoupoli*

Where there is not a single tree

Because you dug up my gardens

To spread your pitches

And you are talking about Anthoupolis*

Where there is not a single flower

Because you were a baby

Because you're killing my sunshine

To enrich your darkness

And you're talking about Lampusa*

Where there is no glitter

And you're talking about the Alhambra*

Where there is no light
