I found “Noises in the night” was the spookiest story. That's because, about ten years ago, I had my own experience with a 'ghost'. One night, I was sleeping with my daughter in my room. At that time, she was only a baby. My husband had to take the night shift that day, so we were alone. I suddenly woke up at about 5 a.m. for no reason, or at least that’s what I thought. It was dark yet. I looked at my baby; she was breathing calmly and seemed deeply asleep. But it was then that I 'felt' the presence of someone or something at the room door. Without leaving the bed, I looked at the half-closed door in front of me, and what I saw was extremely spooky. It was a shadow, a silhouette of what I thought was a man. He was moving back and forth in a strange 'dance'. I thought it was a thief who had entered my house to steal our stuff, so on impulse, I jumped out of bed and reached to lock the door and grab my cell phone to call my husband. His work was only two blocks away from home at that time, he almost flew to the house and landed three minutes later, so I was trying to call the police by the time he arrived. Later he told me that he didn't see anything unusual from outside the house, but still, he entered carefully. In a moment, he came into the room and told me there was no one at the house and all seemed really quiet. I thought I had imagined it all, that I was hallucinating, or maybe I was having a nightmare. But that strange sensation that visited my body and mind that early morning was very real, as well as the shadow I saw moving at the door.

I don't really believe in ghosts, but noises are already scary if you're living in the middle of the countryside as the story tells, so I imagine having noises come from a supposedly empty house must be pretty scary. I haven't had any experience with supernatural occurrences, I believe most things can be explained by science or nature but I have heard people close to me, colleagues for example, talking about unexplained noises during the night in some empty corners of our workplace. (I used to work in a hospital), they attributed them to the patients who had passed away in a "troubled" way. I myself think there's a reasonable explanation for those noises/images or other sensations people sometimes have.

I found it "noises in the  night" very creepy, I never really believed in ghosts, until one day I was left home alone. I realized that my brother was sitting on his bed, as if hypnotized, I said good morning and asked him how he was, however he never answered. I closed the door of the house and went to visit my aunt where my mother was also, I asked her if everything was okay with my brother since he didn't speak to me. My mom gave me a strange look telling me that my brother was at school. Who did I say good morning to? Who was sitting on my brother's bed?

I think that "The strange object on the hill" it's the spookiest one. I've been through for every kind of spooky situation 😂 but the good ones. Since the noises of my house until the spirits of my grandparents showing themselves in some special event. I found the first story ''Noises in the night'' the most frightening because there was no one occupying the house, and I have already heard many stories similar to that one, I think it's something really strange.

I have a friend’s anecdote. This happened a few years ago when my friend was staying at his friend's house. His friend's house had 2 bathrooms inside, but they were occupied when my friend wanted to go, so he went to a bathroom that was outside the house, near the swimming pool, and when he tried to enter the bathroom, the door pushed him hard out of the bathroom, he almost fell to the floor and there was no one inside.

I found "noises in the night" was the spookiest because it takes place in the middle of the night, which is really creepy, especially if you live in the country in a house that is over 100 years old and you start hearing noises from the house next door, which is supposed to be empty. "Noises in the night" is the most spookiest history for me, because I have friends that has told me something like this history, one of my friend long ago, lived in a house that she rented and she and her family has a very spookiest experience, noises in the night like in the history, steps on the stairs,

furniture moving by itself, even the doors, and that's not all, when the doors closed they also locked for a minutes with not form to unlock, her grandma tried to communicate the entity and it answer very annoyed.
In my case I believe in this paranormal things but I didn't have a too long history to share, sometimes the radio increase the volume by itself and in that moment I was very confused because there's no one next to the radio to increase the volume, and my mother was in the ckitchen and she asked if I increase the volume, I didn't do that, so we was very confused.

I think "noises in the dark" is very spooky. At least I would be getting on my nerves if the same happens to me. I remember being so frightened a night years ago when I was cleaning the living room and the tv turned off but there was no power cut.

I think that 'Noises in the dark' was scarier than the other two, the reason could be that I believe in ghosts as energy from people who died (it could be good or bad energy) and it sometimes forgets that they don't really exist here anymore so they try to keep on with their 'lives' even though they don't have one anymore.
One summer my parents and sister had gone out and I was alone at home, I had turned all the lights off and gone to bed, I woke up in the middle of the night to someone looking at me from the foot of my bed and when I asked when had they come back it answer back that they hadn't. I grabbed my cellphone and turned the torch on to see this person but there was nobody there.
My family came back later but I haven't figured out who talked to me that night or what it tried to tell me.

I dont have a personal spooky anecdote but my husband told me that one night he heard someone playing a guitar at the house and thought it was his sister. The day after he asked her why she was playing an instrument at 2 am and she told him that she hadnt played her guitar last night.

In my opinion, "Noises in the dark" was scarier than the other two stories, because i truly believe in the energy of the people who passed away and everything that involves that kind of things. For me, when someone dies, their souls rest for a while in the place where they died and their energy controls the people there. It happens to me, not a long ago, my parents and I stayed in a house of a friend of them on summer vacations, he used to live with his mother, but she had passed away a couple of weeks ago. We arrived just to keep him company for a few days, but our plans changed when I started to feel a strange vibe in the house and in the room we stayed in, I felt like I had no energy at all, and I was very, very sleepy. My mom felt the same, that somehow, the house drained our energy, so that's why we decided to leave after two days.

The first story, the one about sounds in the house next door was the spookiest for me. I´m not skeptical at all about ghosts or UFOs, but I found sounds in the middle of the night, coming from a house where its owner died a few months before, the creepiest; instead, I found extraterrestrial life kind of natural, couldn´t be possible to be the only life on the whole universe.

The only experience of this kind I´ve had was when I was 15 years old, I was staying in a camp on Orzali, a home school here in Mendoza, next to San Martin Park. In the pavilion where men beds where, I did heard many sounds, when no one was there; and when I was layed in bed, just before night, I saw something shining under the bed next to me, I stretched my hand to took it and what I found was a weird and very old sepia photo of a kid.

I tried not to pay many attention to all of that, but after that weekend, when I got home, I opened my bag, and what I found was... the photo at the bottom of my bag. Not thinking about it, I burned it over.

I think “Noises in the night” is the most frightening story because it’s about a ghost in fact, a spirit and this happened in the middle of the night next to their house. It’s very creepy to me because I don’t like these kind of story. Spirits scare me a lot!

I have my own story, it happened in the summer of 2017. It was 2 a.m. and I was lying down in my bed with my sister. When suddenly, I heard loud noises in the roof like cats crying (my bedroom has a door connected to the roof).

So, I went outside to see what happened because the noises didn’t let me sleep. I couldn’t see nothing, the night was very dark and there weren’t lights. So, I turned on my cellphone`s flash to see what was it. I didn’t see any cat but when I was bringing near I heard fast steps. In my neighbour`s roof there was a woman walking with her hands and her foots like a dog, from what I remember, she had white clothes and her hair was long and dark. When I looked her, she stopped walking and she saw me very strange, she had a face that scared me.

So, I ran inside my bedroom and closed the door, I woke up my sister and I told her to close all windows and curtains. She didn’t know what happened and I didn’t explained what I had seen because I was shaking and crying. When I calmed down I started to tell her everything and finally after an hour I could sleep

Since that night nothing happened again, but when I remember, I scare a lot!

I found both ''Noises in the night'' the spookiest one and ''The coffee cup reading'' slightly unsettling in my opinion (I don't like fortune telling and stuff very much and the suggestion it can cause) . I've never experienced a paranormal happening but I know some friends who have, one of them my best friend, one night her mother and she heard sounds from outside the living room window, as if someone gently knocked on it, she looked out to see if there was anyone near her house but she couldn't see anyone, a while later her little dog that was in her bedroom started getting quite nervous without reason and act in a weird way, she didn't knew what was happening that night but for sure she got pretty scared.

For starters Im a big fan of the horror genre wether it is stories like this, videos, or more. I have read countless of stories like this one, but the one that has some sort of eeriness to it, is the second story. The fact that someone saw something inexplicable in an area theyre so comfortable and are sure they know like the back of my hand really gets to me, and even if it was a hallucination caused by who knows (stress, bad nutrition, etc), we dont get that explanation, neither does the person telling the story, thats why its so fun, but Im not sure what couldve happend. Fun fact, sheeps are always associated with the image of satan as well, but I dont really think its that important here.

Not only me but a lot of people I know have a similar experience relating to seeing something that you werent supposed to see, and have people not belive you

My mother and aunt used to visit a "faithed healer" a lot, and tried to force me to go but I profusly refused

My sister who is very similar to me, made a drawing about two girls digging a body after seeing a horror clip with me, and i remember doing the same drawing when i was her age

In my opinion, “Noises in the night” is the spookiest story. I´d be very scared if something similar happens to me and definitely I´ll move to another house. I remember when I went on holiday with my family a few years ago. We stayed in a small town located in La Rioja for some days and when we´re coming back, we saw a stranger shape on one side of the road, and it seemed to be like an old lady, a ghost. After driving a few more kilometers, we saw the same woman again. It was a scary moment, especially because I was a child, and it was at night.

I consider that the most spookiest story is "noises in the night". It must be really scary to hear noises in the middle of night and then, find out that the house is completely empy. I wouldn't be able to live in a place like that.
Some things can't be explained. It's like there's no logical explanation for these kind of events.
Let me tell you about a friend of mine. This person is capable of seeing and hearing things; a clairvoyant. I'd like to think that my friend is gifted, because only few people can do that.

This story didn't happen to me, but to my friend Martina. She and her family were at home, it was a normal night like any other until something happened. They heard a loud noise on the roof as if something fell and then rolled. They automatically looked out throught the window to see what it was, but they saw nothing. Marti's father went out to find out what the noise was. But he found nothing.
As the days passed, what had happened was forgotten. But one day, Marti's mother, who was going with a healer, told her what had happened. The healer told her that the big noise was a witch, that the witch had tried to put a curse on her house, but as it was protected, the witch rolled and fell.
From that day on, Marti's family protects their house whenever they can.

I don't really believe in such things, however I have heard stories from my friends and family in which they have been through these kinds of situations. I have a spooky experience related to my son when he was 9 months more or less. He couldn't walk yet but during the night he used to appear in the living room playing, sometimes crying or giving his milk to somebody else. I called a priest but that scary situation was going on. One day I was recording my son while he was trying to sing and when I played the camera a little 6 or 7- yesrs old boy was standing behind him. I couldn't find a good way to live in peace so I decided to leave that house. That's a very true story 👻

I found "Noises in the night" to be the spookiest of the three stories. I tend to be pretty skeptical. However, hearing noises at night can scare anybody, especially if you find yourself far away from other people and those sounds came from a place supposed to be empty.
I haven't had any similar experience. But I have a really spiritual friend, who's also very perceptive on energies. One night she felt as if some kind of energy was watching us inside my house. She got really scared but told me that "energy", as she calls it, was just watching over me and it wasn't going to hurt me.

I found "The Coffe Cup reading" the most weird or even strange story because the caffeomancy it's a milenial arab art to reed the future and involve mysticism among other type of magic very common between the dessert people who is in part very superstitious but, in this particular case, Fatos could see beyond and conect Adam´s energy and curiosity with hers. For right or wrong the woman was into the correct and could interpretate what will happened to Adam's family soon.
In the story "Noises in the night" it's more probably some burglars or homeless being living there even wood always sound strong in the night because of the temperature changes; but, I know a story about a colleague who had a mistery situation with his tv in the middle of the night. Around 3 am the tv it turned on for a while and some time later turned off include the red power botton!
"The Strange object on the hill" can be interpretated in many ways. One, the main character could have been with some medication or perhaps fever. Two, a night stormy can change the ilumination far in the distance and third, can missunderstand the situation and like an impressionable person, he created an entire story.
About my personal spooky story I will tell you about a situation who I lived 22 years ago while I was doing my tour guide practice at university.
Was in the middle of May, very cold saturday in the mountains of the city La Falda in Cordoba. That particular Saturday evening we had the last practice until the final presentation in a week so my team had to guide the Eden Hotel who's in the middle of the mountains and it's a very old and abandoned hotel (due to his nazi past) so we went and started to practice, we walked the three floors and around 7 pm we decided to return to the reception where the main door was, and by then was realy dark. When with carefully arrived to the main gate a giant padlock was there! shoutting the main door! and was nobody around! We started to scream for help but the hotel is very distance from the city and the keepers returned next morning! so, with carefull, we decide to clime again up to the roof and started to call for help. After two hours there one of my partners started to tell the sory of the ancient ghost owner who still lived in the hotel and showed up sometimes, thats was all and the paranoia started. Finally one of my teachers recibed signal in her phone and called to the firemen, they were very susrpised with this story. When they arrived with ambulance, police and all caind of help, noted the main door was really closed and the key proper lived in other city! so we had to waith around 22 pm untill we got out. Finally we got out and the ghost never showed up. Was of course, the first story we tell the tourist the week after that and my first tour guide experience, spooky and funny.

I think the creepiest one was "The coffee cup reading" because it's scary to think that someone can see your future just by looking at your mug.

I think the spookiest story is " The object on the hill". And what's more terrible is that he couldn't share that experience with anyone, so at the end he wont know for sure if that was real or not.
In my personal experience, I had also heard furniture moving on the neighbord's house once.

The spookiest story to me is the one called “Noises in the night“. Because I find it scary to have spirits next to me trying to communicate or show something, that’s what I would think. May be they are just moving at that time because of something of their own. But what if they are trying to do is to tell me something? Or they start moving and coming closer and closer? I would call a healer, but anyway, it would be very scary.

Regarding the anecdote, this story didn't happen to me, it happened to my sister Cata. She used to live in a flat in Bs As city, alone. Every night, and sometimes during the day too, the bathroom door opened, on itself, there was no breeze or some broken part on the door. My sister knew something weird was happening, she could feel that presence. Until one night Cata invited two friends for dinner and they brought a friend of them with. This girl, Sami, kept looking at the bathroom door every two seconds and Cata said "there is somebody there, isn't there"? And Sami says "yes, an old lady, but have no fear, she will come with me, I'm medium". And since that evening the bathroom door didn't open anymore, and the old lady, I guess she went home.

I think that the spookiest out of the three stories we read is "The coffee cup reading" beacuse not only the reading was really accurate, but the foretelling was fullfilled almost immediately and the result was ominous beacuse it was related to death.
As for the logical explanations, it's hard to find other than a dreadful coincidence.

Regarding the anecdote, I tend to be rather skeptical about paranormal, so I never had such experiences or so I think. At least, I don't read too much into that kind of stuff or maybe, I always find a more natural explanation.

My friends and I used to play this 'game' after watching several movies about it, 'El juego de la copa'. We found it fun and scary at the same time, we were just teens. I remember the adrenaline feeling and the shivers all over my body when the 'cup' was moving. Sometimes we could heard sounds in the dark, lights going off suddenly and just one time I remember we noticed water running from the tap from the laundry room next to us, like out of nowhere. It was just us that night and my mum sleeping. So, who else could have done it?
Anyways, we never knew if someone of us was moving the cup whit their fingers and the fact that we was playing something scary made us a little paranoid.
I have to admit that I wouldn't try it again even though I don't really believe in ghost.

In my opinion, the spookiest story was "The Coffee Cup Reading", due to the fact that it is the only one that includes someone dead. The other two stories were also scary, but I think they can have a more logical explanation, as the text says about the second one, hallucinations or, in the first story, maybe something else was the cause of the noise. It's scary to think that just by looking into the cup someone could guess your future and know things about your life, because it was too exact a situation to be a coincidence.

I found "The strange object on the hill" the spookiest story because what that guy lived was specially strange, I mean it was in the middle of the day, the other stories have like a special context, tipical of those moments.
I have never experienced such a situation. I think I would be prery scare at first but then the curiosity would win me, and I would try to get closer to the dome. I believe that those tipe of like paranormal things hapen and that most of them are real, so I "respect" them. But about fortune reading, faith healers and psychics, I prefer not to be part of them, so we could say that in that sence I'm skeptical.

In my opinion, the spookiest story is “Noises in the dark”. I don't find a logical explanation for this. I believe in paranormal phenomena because when I was a child I experienced a similar situation. In the middle of the night, at the same time, my family and I used to hear noises from the kitchen and the living room. That was really scary! The neighbors told us that the land where the house was built there was a cemetery. So we had to move.

Since then, I’ve never heard weird noises in the middle of the night.

I found the spookiest story "Noises in the night" because there's no logical explanation for that. I strongly belief on paranormal phenomena. At the same time, "The Coffe Cup reading" seems to me so interesting because I cant explain how a person could know something about you and your future just for seeing a cup.
A friend of mine likes to visit a fortune teller and sometimes they say things that then happen and sometimes not. So I think you have to be careful with those people.

When I was a child, my grandmother told us about the famous bad light that is common in the countryside or on farms, which frightens any inhabitant there, especially children. Although children do not frequent at night, the most frightened were the adults who went out to lock their animals in the pen and saw that kind of thing.
