I have always been naturally gifted with leadership qualities. I work hard to gain the trust of those I lead, and intentionally act in a way that is bettering the individuals I serve. It is important to me that, my team trusts me and knows that I have their best interest in mind.

Passion

I am passionate about the things that I do and the people I work with. My passion my entire life has been teaching, and people is right up there with it. My heart for the souls of others is the key motivator in my pursuit of teaching. I have a deep appreciation for English. These passions combined together is what drives me to strive for excellence.

Commitment

I hold tight to the people and things I commit to. This is one of my greatest strengths. I am committed to helping those around me, and the people I love. When I take up a new responsibility, I see it through no matter what. It is very important to me to keep my promises. This commitment is equally reflected in my studies. I am committed to giving my education the deserved time it requires. My hope is that my commitment to the program is reflected through my work.

Stewardship

This is one of my favorite words, and I try to live it out daily. I believe stewardship is taking what you are given and have in front of you, and stewarding it wisely. I believe everything must stewarded, our time, money, our relationships, and everything in between. I strive to steward every minute of my day.

Intentionality

I believe in deep intentionality. I strive to be very intentional with all of my friends and family. Despite a busier schedule, I want to take time to be intentional with the people around me. I also strive to be intentional in how I use my time, similar to my belief in stewardship.

Gateway Woods

This summer, I had the opportunity to spend a week at a rehab center called "Gateway Woods." This is an inpatient center for teens who have struggled with all forms of addiction and abuse. I spent the week pouring into these kids and getting to connect with them. This furthered my passion for middle and high school aged kids or just need to be seen and loved.

Chick-fil-A Leadership

Being a team leader during my four years at CFA, I learned a lot about investing in those looking up to me. I thrived on the relationships I formed there. My favorite part of my job, where the conversations I had during the work day, the one-on-one mentoring opportunities I had, and the continual investment I was able to give - all while getting paid for it. I loved this opportunity.

Mission Trip VBS

I had the beautiful opportunity last March to go on a mission trip to Weslaco, TX, just five minutes north of the Mexican border. It is the highest concentrated area of immigrants and one the poorest counties in America. I Had the blessing to write a VBS curriculum with another girl in the group and help teach VBS to a group of 20-30 kids each day - twice a day at two different locations.

High school or middle school teacher

Once I graduate with my bachelors, I could pursue a public school teaching opportunity somewhere local. I would love to work in public schools near here as this is home!

Teacher at Gateway Woods

I have a heart for kids who need to know they are loved and feel like someone is for them. I could move out to Indiana and work as a school teacher on campus at the retreat I served at this summer. This would be a way to use my specific heart and my career together.

Guidance counselor
