Many scientists, inventors, and philosophers began sharing ideas to improve scientific ideas such as gravity. Tourism skyrocketed because of factories in big cities, causing the cities to become larger and richer, allowing for more advancements

Coal was found to be easily attainable and transportable in England so mass manufacturing increased, first using water wheels and then steam engines. More scientific ideas were found beacuse there was little to no oppression said ideas. Britain started to become the forefront of the scientific and industrial theatres

Began in the 18th century in Britain. Everything started revolutionising, roads, railways, canals and factories were being built. Made Britain the wealthiest and most powerful nation on earth, ruler of the largest empire in history. Wood started out as the main source of living but then quickly moved on to coal. It was cheapest to get coal in Britain, coal was near the sea so ships could carry it to the London market, other places had to travel further, making it more expensive. Then Steam engines were designed to remove water in order to get as much coal as man could get. Scientific breakthroughs were happening.

Coal had a big part to play in helping the revolution take place. England is on top of a large amount of coal, however they didn't see a reason to monopolize it until the industrial revolution. This led to the development of the steam engine.

- Wood was the main source of energy and fire. At first it was an acceptable source yet with the populations growing and the forests moving further and further away from the city because of deforestation it became increasingly expensive. Coal then replaced wood since there was a much higher supply and access to it was easier.
- Scientific ideas were not censored or banned by churches or government like they were in France for example. This means that evolutionary inventions could take place at a faster pace and were not hindered by any other beliefs or regulations. As a result brilliant minds were working towards finding physical and practical ways to enhance life with the knowledge that was being gained.

- The Industrial Revolution initiated because of Britain’s abundance in natural resources, mostly coal.
- Wood was very expensive due to it was very hard to carry, so people found a new fuel, which is coal. Coal was very efficient because it was very abundant in Britain and produce 3 times more energy than wood.
- Steam engine was not very efficient, but it allowed Britain to mine tons of coals from the ground.

Till now:
The british industrial revolution happened earlier than anywhere else because they had a very lucrative source of coal. The British warmed their houses using wood. When this became too expensive, coal needed to be used. It was easily transported from the coastline to the nearby cities. The first factory was built for textiles and that is when the industrial revolution was born.

Coal and other natural factors kickstarted the revolution, because before coal, wood was one of Britain's, but then forests were cut down and wood got more expensive.
They had to find a way to get the coal out of the mines so they used horse driven pumps to get the water out. This cause a lot of people to try to create machines . In 1712 the first successful steam engine was created even though the machine was highly inefficient it still got the coal out of the mines.

I have found out that natural materials, mainly an abundance of coal, and new scientific and technological ideas led to the Industrial revolution in Britain. Through mining this coal, there was a massive source of cheap energy that helped to power the machines needed to mine deeply into the ground. Wood was no longer a cheap, readily available source of energy because it was hard to carry and was situated further away from villages as more was taken. Also, there were many scientific minds which had led to breakthroughs in scientific and technological knowledge. This helped to power new ideas for many scientists such as Irasmus Darwin.
