LO: To enable pupils to respond to the impact of climate change through developing their understanding of plastic waste and recycling.
Overall idea: Students design a system to improve recycling of plastic at the school. Year 6 students work in groups to submit ideas, with the best project being taken on by the class. The aim is to then implement their strategy to improve visibility across school, design posters, plan a whole-school assembly and deliver their idea.
