What Learning Disabilities are
Learning disability involves problems with general mental abilities that affect functioning in two areas:
1. Intellectual functioning
   such as learning, problem-solving, judgment
2. Adaptive functioning
   activities of daily life such as communication and independent living

Signs of Intellectual Disability
  • develop later physically than other kids 
  • Speech delay in learning to talk
  • Have difficulty memorizing
  • Have difficulty understanding social rules
  • Have difficulty connecting cause and effect
  • Have difficulty solving problems
  • Have difficulty reasoning or thinking logically
