Kangaroos are lovely but highly active animals. As more and more cities are slowly creeping towards wild regions, these animals can be seen visiting semi-rural and suburban areas. They can easily threaten your grasses, plants, crops For example, there are a number of animal sanctuaries close to Victoria and many a times kangaroos frequent rangelands and golf courses as well as some urban areas. One of the most effective ways to keep these jumpy creatures off your property is through fences. But the question is what kind of fencing needs to be employed and would be the best protection against kangaroos that are not only large but strong creatures by build. Almost every fencing contractor in Australia will have a different view about it.

The reason for this is the problems related to kangaroos that are mildly-mannered animals. They may attack humans back if they feel threatened, startled, or cornered. Though these are loving creatures and rarely attack but they are capable of considerable damage with their hind pair of legs. If they get an entry in pastures, they may trample or graze crops or might compete with your livestock for water and grass. If into homes or gardens, they will hog on anything they find edible and will destroy the rest. Homeowners and farmers resort to fencing materials for protection of their products.

Why is fence a good idea? Because kangaroos are jumpers and a well scaled sturdy fence can be one of the best protection. You can always contact a fencing contractor, the ones that offer fences, crowd control barriers, car parking equipment and other stuff like that. There are a few gardeners that also like to install floppy fences which is actually metal fences covered with chicken wire some flimsy mesh. These can be highly effective in keeping kangaroos from jumping over. Such fences also offer A-grade protection against small animals that can easily crawl over the fence unless the reach flexible part that doesn’t supports their weight and puts them down. You can always ask your fencing contractor to get you something like that.

There are a few other ways suggested for kangaroo proofing your property like you can always avoid befriending or feeding one. Not making your home too kangaroo friendly is another way, keep trimming trees from time to time and use outdoor furniture as a barrier. You can also suspend a tin cans “wind chime” whose noise will ward off the animals easily. Lastly, make sure you use sturdy fences, soft and weaker ones can easily be destroyed by them.

For more info:-Park Equipment Suppliers Australia
