SDGs Reflection

The SDG's are one of the topics that I really enjoyed in this course, due to the importance of the topic. I find that these sustainable energy goals are a great way to push universal action. Like goal 7 for example Affordable and Clean Energy for all, and rule 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, I know for a fact these are things Egypt has to work on. Due to the inflation that we are facing, Egypt is not able to have clean sustainable energy for all, especially that clean energy like solar is expensive, which is why rule 8 is also important. Decent work is needed for all for basic human necessity and living and also helps end poverty. I really do believe in these goals and respect their efforts to spreading awareness, which I believe is key to resolving an issue. Action is needed locally and globally. That's why I really do support these goals and not just enjoyed but was glad that i learned about them cause they really do serve a purpose to our community and help safe our future planet, and cause Peace.

I learned that there are two main types of energy which are renewable like solar and wind and non renewable like coal and oil. It surprised me how much we still use non renewable energy even though it’s bad for the environment. This made me think about how I can save energy at home, like turning off lights or unplugging things I’m not using like the microwave, lights, and I always leave the AC on because I like my room to always stay cold, but that I have even stopped doing as much. I also started wondering how we can make clean energy more available for everyone, Since clean energy is important but it is really high in cost, still it's needed to help the environment and create a more sustainable way of life.

Climate and Climate Change Reflection

This topic really helped me understand how our actions affect the Earth’s climate. I learned that things like driving cars and cutting down forests add to climate change. I didn’t realize that even small changes in temperature can cause big problems like floods or wildfires. It made me want to be more careful with my choices, like using less plastic or recycling more. I feel more responsible now for doing my part to help the planet, because we really are suffering and the rise in temperature can really affect us, and it already is, like how the Maldives is drowning due to the rise in sea levels from the rise in temperature, we should really understand that our actions affect the earth.

Pollution Reflection

I used to think pollution was just trash on the ground, but I’ve learned it’s way more than that it includes dirty air, unsafe water, contaminated soil, and even noise and light that can harm people and animals. I was shocked to find out how air pollution can cause serious health problems like asthma, and how plastic waste in the ocean can hurt sea life and even end up in our food. Learning about this made me realize how everything is connected, and how pollution affects not just the planet but our health too. Now, I will always try to reuse items, avoid plastic as much as i can, and recycle more carefully. This topic really made me want to do my part to help keep the Earth clean and safe for everyone. Everyone plays a part in pollution and we should try to more insightful of our surroundings and what we can do to be more sustainable and end pollution.

I learned that our health depends a lot on the environment like having clean air to breathe, safe water to drink, and good places to live. In Egypt, I’ve seen how pollution, traffic, and water issues can affect people’s health, especially in crowded cities. Some areas don’t have proper waste disposal or clean water, and that’s not fair because everyone deserves a safe and healthy place to live. Learning about this made me think about how important it is to protect nature and help improve living conditions, especially for people who don’t have as much access to clean environments. It also made me more thankful for what I have and i will always try to be aware and help.
