I believe that AI is going to challenge us to think about business in a more integrated and interdisciplinary way as opposed to just the sub-disciplines like accounting, marketing, etc. This has the potential to impact the ways in which we structure learning and credentials.

I think AI is still evolving but we are beginning to see the possibilities. I was blown away by what SoundHound is doing to handle customers orders in a very humanistic way. I can see many businesses adopting AI . The issue I see her is how do we place those who will lose their jobs to AI.

Have been utilizing AI tools for a year and am astounded at the ease with which students have accommodated these into their work. Clear guidelines submitted before classes start on syllabus that they must NOT pick and paste, but rather adopt what they receive - they've done so as far as I am able to determine

It is all so new that we don't yet know the full impacts however, it clearly reduces a great deal of time for both the academic and the student in terms of research and organization - all with the caveat that everything needs to be double checked, yes? AI doesn't understand truth from fiction yet...we have to be the judge of that

I think the role AI and Gen AI plays in Business is similar to law and other professions/disciplines.

AI /Gen AI is a tool – a powerful one, but like with any technology tool we need to understand its limitations as well as its benefits.

AI can perform routine and repetitive tasks well – like an assistant.

However, the output produced by Generative AI needs to always be reviewed and checked by humans. It needs to be verified. (ie: hallucinations)

Also, those who are interacting with AI/Gen AI need to be aware that they are interacting with this technology.
