My parents aren't from this country and my older brother didn't go to a 4year so I was very lost with where to even begin looking at schools. I emailed and called the school's college and career councilor so many times to no avail. So one day at lunch I was facetiming my friend and I was asking her all my questions and she just said you know what, I'm bringing you to the counselor so you can ask directly so my friend busted into her office and said, I have my friend on the phone, she says you haven't responded to her at all and she has questions about the college process but physically cannot come in person to ask them here she is and handed the phone to the counselor so I was able to get a lot of my questions answered then and there. It was positive because it made me feel like I actually had someone on my side instead of just saying how awful it must be to be stuck homeschooling my last year of high school.
