Twenty-six years ago, Seraphina Israel was born. Her parents were Rose Israel and Rumpelstiltskin. Her family was oh so very happy, until Rose fell in love with Poseidon. A year after their marriage, when Seraphina who then began being called Red, was two years old, Rose and Poseidon had a child whom they named, Amethyst Israel. When Amethyst was seven and Red was nine, Rose married a local kitsune. Later, he and Rose had a half-fox named Fiona. Just after Fiona's birth, Rose died. 

When Red was 10, Amethyst was 8, and Fiona (now Fox) was 1, they escaped their home. The three of them took nothing but an Ice Carriage and food. What Amethyst and baby Fox did not know was that Red had originally planned to run away with her love. Just hours into their trip, they witnessed Fox's power. Their horse had stopped and Fox was able to keep him going. Her laughs alone got him up to speed in no time. As night passed, when no one was looking, Red made a fire with her powers. Shortly after, she attempted to drown Fox, but Amethyst moved the Ice Cart in time for Fox to live. Days later, they made a small shelter, just big enough for each of them to fit. The next morning, a man who introduced himself as Jack, offered them a one way ticket to the black-market. "All I need is your ability to sleep." Of course Red said sure, because what kid wants to sleep?

The black market was a place to get what ever good or evil magic item you pleased at a fairly low price. They had a weekly theme, meaning they would only sell one element related items. For instance, the week Red said yes, it was fire. This week harnessed her main power. She became stronger during the fire weeks, and weaker during her sister, Amethyst's strongest week, water and ice. Baby Fox thrived during animal related weeks especially wolves and foxes, as well as nature in general.

After visiting the market, they spent a year at their Aunt Mary's farm. Mary- Katherine Roosevelt was nothing like F.A.R., as she was elegant and poised as ever, with a butler named Edward. The girls stayed in her two story barn. It had a loft on top, with two rooms, one kitchenette, and a laundry basket for Edward's weekly load. They stayed there for a year, through storms, power outages, everything that could possibly happen on a farm happened. When Red turned 11, they moved out in search for a kind of money-maker.

Ten years later, F.A.R., who now are wanted by our current president, President Snow, have all harnessed their main powers. Red doesn't sleep, they go to the black market quite frequently, and Red is twenty, Amethyst is eighteen, and Fox is just ten. They've had many travels.

Because they are wanted in District 13, F.A.R decided to move into the city and open a business in which they call F.A.R. Out Inc. Red reported all of the "odd sightings", Amber gave them books about what they saw, and Fox gave therapy to those who were truly traumatized.
