I liked the section that discussed breaking down tasks and focusing on specific processes. I think it is important to think about all the prerequisite skills needed in order for a student to accomplish a task. Being cognizant of these needed skills when creating objectives, will lead to students' success.
I also related to the first section where the article discussed a student earning a passing grade but the teacher not being confident the student truly mastered the skill. This goes back to breaking down tasks and finding appropriate ways to assess the objectives. I think standards based grading helps with identifying what skills students have mastered.
